Dragonguy13. Did you actually see the small COLLEGE team that we were playing against??? I think that we battled against a way more SUPERIOR AND WAY BIGGER TEAM. We were missing 1 starter (Will Davis) and Noah Marcum ( still on a bum ankle) and I thought the kids played hard. We did play great in first half and shot great. But, you can’t expect a little Fairland school to beat a team like Linsey. We will be fine going forward. We have a really good team that DOES PLAY TEAM BALL. You’ll see.

Mc1196. I don’t know what TEAM you’ve been watching but we have a different leading scorer just about every game. We have a whole TEAM full of scorers and TEAM players. One of the most team thoughtful and unselfish teams we have had in a few years. We are still figuring out roles but we will figure it out and be a threat to win many many games this year including the OVC. The OVC is gonna be a dogfight between SP, Ironton, Portsmouth, Peake and the Dragons. I say the OVC winner will have at least 2 losses maybe 3?

Yes I watched, about 4 rows up. I saw a bigger team and a prep school who struggled with a smaller, more scrappy team the first half. The second half I saw selfishness and a lack of defense for us. We honestly probably wouldn’t have won but we could’ve made it a close game had they continued to play team ball instead of 1v5 the 3rd and 4th quarters. I feel comfortable saying that considering almost every dragon fan I spoke to during and after offered the same opinion.

Not with this group they are ALL to worried about themselves just watch them play

I will say that as a team they went 4-0. The last 2 games has shown a selfish side. The second half last night vs Linsly was really bad! They played as a team the first half and were down by 1. They went selfish the second half and the whole team checks out. So i would agree with that quote. Coach Speed surely sees it. They have a ton of potential AS A TEAM.
I agree with you

How is Davis' ankle injury? when I saw him at the Ironton Classic he was in a boot ... hoping he is able to "tee it up" this week ... I always enjoy watching the young man play at both ends of the floor - he's been a good one for the Dragons over his career ...

Still pretty banged up. Plan is to let him test it tomorrow vs PWest and see how it does. Same can be said for Marcum. He’s been playing through his but still not 100%. 2 big pieces for Fairland and def need them healed up.
