Looks like they have ventured away from the probable successor. Have they reached out to anyone? Would be a great job to have I would think.RheaRipley wrote: Sat Apr 19, 2025 3:58 pmI heard the same thing.peake71 wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 12:11 pm Fairland job is posted on OHSAA. From what I heard it probably will not be Fuller. Just a rumor.
Open Jobs

Re: Open Jobs
I was told they reached out to two. One they can’t afford but would do a great job. Local coach currently. The other is a coach from WV that would do well. Big shoes to fill whoever gets that job.

Re: Open Jobs
I’d say the talent level maybe cycling down some. Fairland has traditionally had home grown boys coaches. We’ll see.
Re: Open Jobs
Can't afford? Unless they don't have a job for them I don't see why they couldn't find a way to get them to come. The tradition is there so now I guess it would be up to whoever is in charge to try and make it work.Dirkknow wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 1:30 pm I was told they reached out to two. Re: Open Jobs
I say they can "afford" whoever they want. I have heard of a couple names other than Blaine , both will keep the Dragons in good shape
Re: Open Jobs
I would agree with you. I don't know the one from WV but the other one has the drive and desire to be great. I believe he would continue on with the tradition that has been built already. Like I said before, the tradition is there. Just have to get someone to continue to build off of it.84Dragon wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 10:33 am I say they can "afford" whoever they want. Re: Open Jobs
Very tough job to say the least! Whomever takes this job has their hands full with very little to work with. We couldn’t really compete with mediocre talent the past several years so this is a tough job for sure.N2Hoops wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 9:07 pmDid Lockery step away or was he non renewed?PVBearcat2012 wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 2:38 pmIf they did, then I have not heard who it is yet. ... I thought PV had already hired from "within"? Did that fall through? or did I hear wrong?

Re: Open Jobs
I agree. He would do a great job. Has nothing to do with affordability. Just need to find him a position at the school. He would do great at Fairland.Bmoc616 wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 11:51 amI would agree with you. I don't know the one from WV but the other one has the drive and desire to be great. Re: Open Jobs
Congratulations to the new Head Coach at Fairfield Union - Coach John Helber ... Coach Helber was 5 years the head coach at Logan High School, has served successfully in the FU system as the freshmen coach, jv, varsity assistant since 2015 ... makes sense to hire an "in-house" coach who knows the players, knows the parents, knows the system that has been successful ... FU has an excellent group of young players returning this season ... looking forward to covering the Falcons this coming season !

Supposedly Minfords job will be opening up, with shoemaker stepping down? Any names to look out for possibly wanting minford job
Re: Open Jobs
... beginning of May? late in the game to announce Coach Shoe to be stepping down, especially if you are planning to get an out of system coach ... but they could very well already have THE guy in house and can hit the ground running before the summer season at the end of May and June starts ...MinfordHawk wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 12:55 pm Supposedly Minfords job will be opening up, with shoemaker stepping down? I am wanting to say the banquet was very recent and with the Falcons reaching the final four along with all star games could have taken Shoe some time to process everything.pfloyd wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 1:57 pm... beginning of May? late in the game to announce Coach Shoe to be stepping down, especially if you are planning to get an out of system coach ... but they could very well already have THE guy in house and can hit the ground running before the summer season at the end of May and June starts ...MinfordHawk wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 12:55 pm Supposedly Minfords job will be opening up, with shoemaker stepping down? Oh, I get it FalconFever02 ... the price of having a great season/post season LOL - a whole bunch of teams WISH they had this problem LOL ... I wish Coach Shoemaker the best ... he has always been good to me, saying hello, talking before games ... Coach Shoe will be missed courtside ...FalconFever02 wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 3:16 pmI am wanting to say the banquet was very recent and with the Falcons reaching the final four along with all star games could have taken Shoe some time to process everything.pfloyd wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 1:57 pm... beginning of May? late in the game to announce Coach Shoe to be stepping down, especially if you are planning to get an out of system coach ... but they could very well already have THE guy in house and can hit the ground running before the summer season at the end of May and June starts ...MinfordHawk wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 12:55 pm Supposedly Minfords job will be opening up, with shoemaker stepping down?
