Chesapeake at Fairland 1/15

Another epic battle on tap between these two neighbors Friday Night. You can always throw out the records when the Panthers and Dragons play, but this game has a lot of implications.

First, Fairland is undefeated in the OVC and Chesapeake has only one loss. So a Chesapeake win opens the conference title race wide open and a Fairland win puts the Dragons two games securely into first place.

Also on the line will be the seeding for the post season tournament. These teams won't meet again until after the draw, so the winner could most likely be in the drivers seat for the number 1 seed.

But most importantly, what is on the line is bragging rights. Look for any basketball fan in Eastern Lawrence County to be in The Carl York Center Friday Night!

Very good game, both teams played hard and clean. Could be a different outcome at the Peake. Two good teams, Just depends on who is hot that night.

Fairland shot 54% from the field and Chesapeake shot 41%

Fairland also made their free throws down the stretch which made the winning margin a little larger.

It was a great game and a great atmosphere. There is no better rivalry in high school sports in this area.
