I guess not. If VMI wanted to let him go, he could with no penalties. BUT vmi has no reason to let him out, though some schools will. But this late, they don't really have options to replace him, so they may not.

This isn't false, BUT they just played the closest game for JG since they beat ASVSM

And I'm sure that DeSales talent had nothing to do with that? Some of you who believe the schedule is what makes a team, is so full of arm chair QB BS. If you have the talent you have the talent, if you have the talent and the intangibles then you are set to make a run. If JG doesn't win a title, some idiot will show up on here and bemoan the reason is their schedule wasn't tough enough to prepare them to win the state title.

Listen to head coaches of good teams when they're successful at the end of the year. How many times do you hear them say, we upped our schedule to get us prepared for this... yeah you have to have the talent... but preparing yourself is a huge part of it too.

I'll use my own school, FU, as an example. They lost in the district final. BUT they had won 2 tourney games since their last trip to districts not 2006. Last year, they didn't win a ton of games, but they competed in all of them and the writing was on the waLloyd that they had potential to be good. SO, the coach went out and scheduled Unioto, St Charles, and Granville. They lost 2 of those 3, but no doubt it helped them seeing better competition out of league. Eversole even said it after the season was over.

John Glenn won at Akron St.Vincent St.Mary this season 54-51, arguably the best road win of any team in the state. It could be a rematch in the championship game between the Muskies and the Irish.
