In the years past, people whould be calling for the coaches head. Coach Smith last year didn't stand a chance. People got on him before the season even started. Being escorted by the deputies, from your own parents was ridiculous. All that being said I'm very excited to have Coach Bradford at West. I think the parents realize Rome wasn't built in a day. We have some talent coming up, and a very good coach. I really do believe that the next few years we'll be competitive. We have some very good young men that are seniors that have lost the most. They have had at least 4 different coaches in high school. I think that if Coach Bradford had these seniors for 4 years, we wouldn't be having this discussion. I think the school board has finally put some very good coaches in place.

West will be fine. Bradford is a good coach and is from here, which helps. West will be more than competitive soon.

2-15 as of now, wins coming over Notre Dame and Ironton St. Joe...they could of beaten New Boston (lost by 1), East (lost in overtime), and Wheelersburg (lost by 2 had the ball down by one in their final possession)

Also Bradford is a teacher in the system, that helps...and yes being from West helps out a lot...as far as coaching he is trying to get back to the fundamentals, playing good defense, trying to penetrate and establishing a good post presence...he had some not very good years at east until he got his system in place, he then had some talented athletes and took them to the convo twice...he has talent coming up, and I would imagine he will have the same result at West

I for one think we'll see results as early as next year. The JV team is looking very good. Beat Burg twice, the second game by 17 pts. they also beat Valley and Waverly the 2nd round, hoping for NW and Minford victory 2nd round but we'll see. I think our success at West is going to depend the Off season play IMO. Football and Basketball has to be a year around program to compete IMO. Hope to see some Shootouts and open Gym this Summer, and kids getting involved in AAU and Gusmacker. You Cannot Imagine how much it helps!

P.S. Coach Bradford is doing A Great Job!
