It'll just change somehow until the Vikings would possibly get eliminated in the tournament. Even if they would win it, that poster would swing it someway lol

Athens was up 33-32 at half and then Athens got up 7. Then Marietta slowed it down to a crawl and went to a zone.

Marietta and New Lex will be an interesting game. New Lex has their strong underneath presence and Marietta looks like they had 5 guards out there. Which one wins??. Speed or Strength?? I know this is an Athens and Marietta thread but not much to say about that one. Except TURNOVERS, TURNOVERS AND TURNOVERS. From both teams. This was an Ugly game to watch and I hope Athens got it out of their system and are ready to play Friday night. A week to prepare for Sheridan. If Athens can play as a Team and bring their A-Game they can compete with anyone. Which team will show up??

Maxfield is fine.

Ive said this before - athens is an average team at best when they dont play as a team. When griff has at least 10 assists, they are as good as most of the D2 teams at Logan. When he scores 30 and nobody else even hits double figures, Athens is basically the 9 seed. They lost to New Lex, they lost to Marietta, they lost to Meigs.

But, they smoked Watterson & took Fairland to overtime. You just dont know what team will show up

... once Marietta went to the extended 1-3-1 zone and trapped out of it in the backcourt the Tigers turned Athens over 9 times in the 3rd quarter and 4 more in the 4th ...... 5 TOs in the 2nd half resulted in points for MHS ... pushing a 1 point intermission deficit to a 10 point separation that never was overcome by the Bulldogs ... Athens went man in the 2nd half - Marietta was too quick with their ALL guard team for the Bulldogs at all positions as MHS got to the rim for 38 points in the game and 18 out of their defensive pressure for the game ...
