I have seen North Adams in a scrimmage and they looked pretty good, moved the ball well and had a couple shooters. Whole program looks to be in good shape.

... brown22 - sorry I left off North Adams in my question ... I had also read that North Adams was going to be an improved team this season - good to hear ! I want make an effort to make a couple of trips across Rt.23 to the Western territories of the South East district this season ... I haven't done that for a couple of seasons - I miss the excitement of the small school divisions , the atmosphere created IN those schools is so awesome ... I was at Peebles a few years back - signs everywhere - halls, in the gym ... the pride was second to none ... I haven't attended the North Adams tourney to honor Coach Dave Young ... I need to make my way there at least once... I had the honor of meeting Coach Young at the Beasts of the Southeast prior to his passing in 2012 ... Coach Young gave me a North Adams T-shirt - it's hanging in my study ... one of the greats of Southern Ohio hoops with over 400 wins ... off the top of my head I believe he accounted for almost 20 Sectional titles, 3-4 district titles and the 19996 Final Four appearance ...

Time will tell. This is kind of a reunion year. Arey will be teamed up with the boys he grew up with in Jr High. He has been with Justice,Gordley,Parrett for his high school years. Weston Browning too,was moved up with upperclassmen. He too will be back playing with teammates who have been by his side since bitty ball. I think these two will mesh well. They as guards will be the leaders of the Peebles Indians. They will have two very good athletic leapers to team up with in Colton Ball and another young man whose last name is Hawes ,first name escapes me. a coaches son Smalley is strong and gritty. This team should go very deep without a problem. If they can get a couple other than Arey, Browning Robinson, in Double figures they could make some noise. They will be gritty and several have abilities to score and set down on defense.I think they will be 8 deep ,maybe more. Coach Arey will make them gel.

Peebles 65- White oak 50. Peebles now has 6 of the next 8 games away. One more with White oak, next at Lynchburg,on at Leesburg,at CNE, and Two at Holiday tournament, home against a much improved west union, and January 5th at home against Fayetteville. If the can go .500 in that streach they will be battle tested and ready for the second half of the season. It will be interesting.

All played well. I think it was a 2 to 5 point game till about 4 minutes. Peebles subbed well with 9 players the whole game. I think White oak got a little tired . Foulshots ,Weston taking a charge and steals sealed the game in final minutes. In a couple of weeks .24,30,3, and I think a Hamilton kid all played well. Arey,Browning,Browning Robinson and a host of bench players played well the whole game.
