Sounds like Ironton is falling apart in all sports. In the last 4-5 years only sport that has been consistent on winning is girls basketball. If I was school board I would be looking for changes across the board. Good start by getting rid of Superintendent but now need to move onto several head coaches. Also, how can a school like Ironton that is they only school in Lawrence and Scioto county that has a full time athletic director be so terrible in most their sports? Sounds like athletic director at a Ironton needs to be held accountable but what do I know?

The Portsmouth score at the end of the regular season was 71-56 in favor of the Trojans.

I posted this on another Ironton thread.......Coach Lafon's record since 2010:

2010: Won the SEOAL outright (13-1 record....only loss to Portsmouth.....expanded 10 team SEOAL)
2012: Lost in the regional final to Portsmouth 50-40
2013: Lost in the state semifinals to eventual champion Ottawa-Glandorf 61-60
2015: Lost to Portsmouth in the regional semifinals

I think Coach Lafon has done very well in these 9 years......if what's above is not good enough, then the standards just might be a little unreasonable.
