No dog in this fight, but for Christ's sake, really? "that is just a fact"? Nothing "factual" about this post. Gee, there is always one team that never "loses" to a better team, they just get screwed, every game, right?!?!
Steely - The reason that I brought it up is because it it true when it comes to the Dogs. Always people compaining about enrollment numbers, etc. blah blah blah. It is rooted in jealousy and It affects the refs becase they are locals and most of them feel the same way even if they don't say it in public. People like to make fun of the whole "Glouster ref" quote in the paper, but the Coach said it to the reporter becuase it is true. And that's why the journalist printed it to, IMO. No reasonable person being honest can watch their games over the past 10 years and not see that there is a huge obvious bias against Athens. That sir, is a "Fact". I'm not complaining because like I tell my own little Bulldogs that haters are just going to hate. Gonna have to learn to deal with it wearing the Green and Gold.

I mean the game last night was officiated well. Alexander just made the big plays at the end. We will get them back in The Plains

Athens shoots 4 more free throws in a close game yet somehow got hosed? Some people need to get a grip on reality. One fan post about the negative body language and attitudes, kids quitting the program and yet it’s all still the officials fault??? Get a life.

haha. this post has to be a joke. I would suggest there is no reasonable person that would honestly believe this post. The game was officiated well. There was a phantom call on the Butcher kid, but I bet if you watch the tape there was probably something done that the ref was trying to address. There was equally a phantom call on a free throw against the Terry kids that sent the Alexander bench into a frenzy. Were the refs punishing the Spartans because the school is trying to put on an income tax levy? Come on, you can not honestly believe that the refs are against Athens and that is why you lost last nights game. The refs were not defending on the free throws and causing Athens to miss 10 FT in the second half.

The last sentence of the last post is the only one that makes any sense.

Spartans_fan - I was absolutley not joking. I wasn't talking about last nights game in particular but I have seen it over and over for years and years against Athens. The refs and our local paper loves to take shots at us anytime they can. I saw it with my kids and now my grandkids in biddy league. It never changes. Should have never joined the TVC. But that's a whole other can of worms

Person with a grand total of 17 post is going to tell us all about a grand conspiracy against Athens, from the officials to the newspaper. Really???? You believe all officials are from Athens County? You really believe a newspaper is rooting against the school that probably by a 3-1 margin sells more papers and ads in the district that shares its name? Get a clue.

Barlow - Let me get this straight - Your Opinion is better than mine because you have posted 635 times more than I have? Does posting equal intelligence? If that is so then people like Raider6309 surpassed Albert Einstein years ago!!

No, but when you suddenly show up to an aganeda you are biased. But hey, feel free to act like an expert. Opinions should be based on some facts. However yours is only opinion that everyone wants to screw Athens.

If this is true, give us some real evidence. You’ve got nothing more than your son or husband is losing and you want to blame others. So, how do you explain the success of Athens Football, Baseball, Boys Basketball, Cross Country, Girls Basketball in the past 5 years? How have they all won Disrtict and Regional Titles, and owned the small ass league they are in if there is an officiating coup against them??? Your arguement does not hold water. 💦 💦 so keep crying those tears.

Last 10 years Athens has 4-5 football titles, 4 Boys basketball, 4 Girls Basketball, almost every CC and Track Title, multiple Baseball titles and at least I’d think one softball title. In short they have been the boss daddies of that little league you compete in and yet you believe it’s a conspiracy? This is laughable.

Wow, stay in the SEOAL, and you’d have like one-two titles per sport instead of a decade of dominating. Instead your administration cut and run from competition like little bitches. Now you are crying like one.

Mr. or Ms. Orange and Brown - I find the use of the the term "moron" to describe me as pejorative, derogatory and defamatory. I respectfully request that you refrain from name calling as I find it personally hurtful and it it takes away from usual high level of civilized discourse and exchange of ideas that occur on this forum. Thank you for your consideration

He has really played well. He changes Alexander's defense by being a real shot block specialist. Would like to see him get the ball a little more in the low post, but he is doing a nice job.

Go Alex.
