4-4. Waverly joins Oak Hill at the Convo

Waverly with a HUGE come from behind win over a very good Jackson team.
Jackson jumped out 25-10 in the first half before Waverly trimmed it to 25-15 at the break.
Waverly cut that deficit to 3 at the end of the 3rd and the 4th was a classic battle.
Clayton Howell saved his best for the 4th as he hit two huge threes, his last the game winner with .40 to play. He hit a deuce with 2:06 to play to put the Tigers up 44-43 before Jackson nailed a three setting up Howell’s final trifecta.
Howell also defended Donaldson on his last second shot.

It would not surprise me to see The Oaks have to play Paint Valley in the Convo. I could see them beating Eastern Brown. They have that 7 foot D1 player Swiggle?, I think. I hear he's the real deal.

Swingle is the real deal. if the oaks play transition run run run basketball he will be a non factor on defense. If he gets set on the offense side he will score at will or if you double team him he will dish it out to one the guards for a 3. Northwest tried to double up on him but that left Campbell to cover both guards and they got a lot of 3s from McFadden.

If we can get past Southern. If. The district program will feature the 9-15 South Webster Jeeps.

Southern will require a 32 minute effort from The Jeeps.

Eastern Brown is very well coached though. Could make them the outlier

We can say the same that Burg shouldn’t have beaten Waverly at Wheelersburg. Even with Marquez going down up 6 early 2nd period it was back and forth game the whole way.

Oak Hill will be facing Paint Valley again. PV defeated Eastern Brown in OT last night 62-55.

PV will create more problems for Oak Hill then Eastern Brown would have. Also I think The Oaks have a tougher Semi than they will Face in the District Finals.

Burg is in a similar position. I believe Lynchburg Clay and more specifically McLaughlin will present a tougher situation than the District Final.

Waverly wore down the Generals in a huge second half comeback after being down 16 at the break. They erased the deficit to tie it up after three. From there it was all Tigers.

If Burg and Oak Hill can pull out victories today —- then 3 of the 6 District Finals will have SOC2 teams in them.
