I normally would say that Western having an incorrect count would be hard to believe, but their girls enrollment stayed at 81, while their boys went from 78 to 113, which is a pretty major leap for a DIV school. The CB # would stay at 21, but I could definitely see them having something off.

However, they did send the numbers out to the schools for verification. I believe they did it twice, because the first set of numbers were way off. So, I could also see the state just telling Western too bad for this year. But, in Western's favor, 8 schools did lose their OHSAA membership and a couple were DIV schools, so they may do a small bit of shuffling regardless.

Lightle can we get an update on the Western situation? I'm curious to hear what's going on with that! I thought their numbers seemed high but they had the opportunity to appeal it in the spring and not sure if they did or not. If they do drop to D4 I'm curious to see which sectional they go to? Northwest already has 11 and Meigs 10 so maybe they'd just put them in the Meigs sectional? But that's quite the haul from Western to Meigs so it would be more likely that one of the Northwest teams gets moved to Meigs (Ironton St. Joe maybe? Green? Coal Grove?) Let us know!

I wonder if the state would send Western to Meigs on the account based on the error being one of their own. That would place both sectionals at an even 11.

As of right now....

1. CG
2. Peebles
3. NB
4. St. Joe
5. Fairfield
6. Green
7. Whiteoak
8. Manchester
9. East
10. Clay
11. ND

2-4 can all change and also depends on the situation with Western. I don't see St. Joe falling below a 5

I'd go something along the lines of...

At Northwest

1.) Coal Grove
2.) Peebles
3.) New Boston
4.) Ironton St. Joe
5.) Fairfield
6.) Whiteoak
7.) Green
8.) East
9.) Manchester
10.) Notre Dame
11.) Clay

At Meigs

1.) Waterford
2.) Trimble
3.) Miller
4.) Southern
5.) South Webster
6.) Symmes Valley
7.) Belpre
8.) Eastern Meigs
9.) South Gallia
10.) Federal Hocking

Both of those could change drastically by tournament time as nobody is standing out as the true 1 seed in either sectional.

At Northwest Coal Grove SHOULD earn the 1 seed unless they fall way off, which I doubt. Peebles might make a push for the 1 if they win out, or maybe New Boston if they win out but I don't see either doing that.

At Meigs South Webster could drop significantly if Blevins misses time. South Gallia supposedly has a transfer too so maybe they'll rise some.

I said back in December that I thought Peebles would lose 5 or 6 games. I'm sticking with this . They have Fayetteville again, Fairfield again, Eastern Brown,Ripley , and Western Pike if make up game gets scheduled. I think we will have 6 losses. All D3 schools. I also think we will be about #25-#30 on pfloyds final list. I believe by tourney time we will be battle tested and ready though. The Northwest sectional will again be a good one.

Yep, this would fall squarely on Western, the numbers are submitted by Western to begin with, then are given back to Western to either sign-off on or to accept. Also of note, this would effect their fall teams as well, so not catching this until now is interesting.
