Meigs doing better but they have no chance. Maybe they can slow it down also and keep it low scoring and lose like a 37-31 game but I’d guess that’s as good as it gets.

Oak Hill 55
Meigs 36

If Meigs has watched any film on the oaks in their losses and if the baer boy keeps up his team leading outstanding play and the bartrum plays great as well as the rest of the team they might have a shot. On paper, no. On momentum maybe. Good luck to both teams.
In the tournament anything is possible ask the oaks coach.

Oak hill looked awful. Credit to Meigs tho for keeping it close. Oak hill at times struggled with the 1-3-1.

But still scored more than 50% more points than Meigs...was it close until late ft or what?

It was a 4-6 pt game most of the first half.
It expanded to 8-10 most of 2nd half. Sorry for lack of stats, this message via voice-to-text while driving. Meigs did not really foul much at the end of game, OH might have added 4pts via free throws in the final 3 mins.

So never really in doubt but never really took it to them.

Between Oak Hill’s style and what every team tries to do in a game to pull the upset....doesn’t allow a lot of blowout chances.

No never was the game in doubt. Meigs had the right game plan to pull off the upset just not the horses or horse to do it. Oak hill, I feel, played down to their opponent. Like I said early the 1-3-1 gave oak hill fits at times when the 3 wasn’t falling. Harvest Prep at the game scouting if my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me.

You are exactly right. OH shot well in 1H from 3pt land, but struggled a little in 2H.
Harvest Prep was in the front row early (4-5 coaches, no players).

I may be crazy, but OH didn't really attempt to adjust to the zone much, is it possible they just didn't adjust because they were comfortable with the lead, and didn't want to "give away" much with Harvest Prep in the front row? Each had a notebook taking stats.

Just a conspiracy theory, that's all... :D

You may be on to something. lol I thought they were gonna come out the 2nd half and pull away but they never seem to push the issue. Norm seemed like he was just trying to get through the game. Being a oak hill fan I hope that’s what happened. Oak hill definitely not firing on all cylinders this game but first tournament game is always the toughest.

I could be wrong, but I think the Oaks only gave up 5 second half points to Meigs. You can't take away much from this game on offense, but defensively they were pretty solid. Meigs didn't get many good looks.

I don’t think you can take anything away from that game. Goodluck to harvest prep on that scouting report.

I'm assuming Harvest Prep was there primarily to scout Wheelersburg since they will face them in the semis before possibly seeing the Oaks. Tonight made for a good opportunity for them to catch both teams in action.
