I can see Piketon in the elite 8 next season. Yes losing a player like Perdue will hurt the Redstreaks but I don’t think it will hurt like everyone thinks. Piketon will still be returning a lot of guys (Lightle, Blanton, Thacker, Little, Mathews) and I also see a lot of younger guys contributing. I wouldn’t sleep on Piketon next year
Piketon will be .500 next year at best.
Don’t be hating on my Redstreaks. Been around the program for almost 50 years now. Seen a lot of Redstreaks basketball over the years, this team will NOT be bad
They wont be good next year below 500 team all give you odds and lay 1k on it anytime you want. Will be the 4th best team in Pike County well as long as the Christian academy doesnt bring in a ringer thenn they will be 5th best.

Piketon seems to always put a decent to good team on the floor

Piketon will be fine next year. We obviously lose a lot and some kids will have to get better this offseason. A lot of it will have to do with what style we play. May have to slow it down a bit next year. Still some good players returning and a JV team who went 18-2 this year.

If they get new coaches and a new style and work on shooting they can contend for mid pack SVC. If they play same style same coaches will be below 500. They have nobody who can score enough consistently at this point.

... Alex Blanton , Preston Thacker, Scott Lightle, Isaac Little, Blake Reader, Tyrae Harris, Jacob Mathews ALL return for Piketon next year ... 3 starters, with Little getting more than enough PT to be considered a starter - 4 starters returning to the Red Streaks lineup ... Tanner Perdue does not get replaced - BY ANY team in the SVC ... he's one of THOSE elite players - end of story ... BUT as is the case EVERY single year - the best of the best graduate , WE always ask "Who will step up ? " with programs such as Piketon there will be multiple players "stepping up" ... PHS has talent from the JV & freshmen teams - size, scorers, ball handlers - I've seen them ! I was impressed by THEM when I saw them ! ... Coach Legg x 2 , Coach Kelly & Co. will be just fine in my opinion ... they will ranked in the preseason accordingly ... Pike County with Piketon, Eastern Pike, Waverly STILL in the mix in the "one & done" season - good stuff right there !!! next year ? look for more of the same ! at least from Piketon/Eastern Pike ... if anyone is losing BIG it's Waverly losing - Howell,Remington/Adrain - 3 OUTSTANDING players at both ends of the floor ... BUT I trust Coach Robertson to get THAT job done as well ! ...

While you’re busy bashing my streaks. We’ll be preparing for a district championship game!

I know bashing kids and players is your specialty but at least have the decency to wait for the season to be over. Coach

Remington is a Junior.
Tigers with three starters returning in Remington, Marquez, Wolfe along with Hoover, Dunn & Pendleton who all saw plenty of PT. Waverly will have some nice JV players moving up, Swain moving back from ZT, talk of a possible move in or two and some really really good incoming Freshman. Losing Howell, Adrian and Reed will hurt (as losing most Seniors do) but Waverly will be good next year.

But, that's next year and we have a District Championship to go play for yet this year.

I agree with smurray, Waverly will still have a lot of talent coming back next year. I think they will still be able to play the same style they are now with the type of athletes they have. IMO, they will be a fun team to watch for the next few seasons. A lot of talent that could make this team very good if it translates to the varsity level. I haven't heard that Swain will be transferring back, is that a rumor or actually happening? If so that will be another nice addition as he is a good player and would contribute.

Boy oh Boy, here we go again with Ramennoodle1. All league “player”, Fan, and Coach, huh...naughtymoms.com don’t count. Here on Camp Creek, we are true fans who support are boys and Coach Leggett and staff, because they don’t listen to horse shippers like you. All these boys have done is go 19-5 Varsity, 18-2 JV...not bad year. My uncles twin sister always said , “a man with a 9 iron mentality is no good with his woods...he always comes short when shooting” ...(not sure what that meant fully).

Hopefully, with your true fan support, cause we know you’re an enema by the way you continue to put down are program. we can sit together at the Convection center and take in a game. Though, with your experiences as a coach, Think you’d want to coach our AAU team?...the Ur-anus A-Holes?We’ll be sitting in the same seats where we sat last year for districts and this years district games—green seats up on the right..I’ll be wearing my Scottish nickers this game, cause I plan to play a round of championship golf at The Porchmouth Elks or the VA at Chillicothe in anticapacitation for the matchup game. Would stop by Big Beaver but it’s full of runoff from the Dump, even the geese stopped going there!

PFlood I want to think you for your support of are Redstreak team. You always have a place in Are hearts and a uniform on the poledancers team. When you come back to Piketon, hopefully we can treat you to a trainwreck at the Riverside Diner, and then run up to Smart Mart where we can get Twisslers 4/$1; little out dated, but still get the taste of sweet nectar in every pack. Same sweet smell I get when I watch old reruns of Dallas and Days of Are Lives!

Go Redstreaks!

Good stuff Cougar. I will be rooting for Piketon on Saturday. They have their hands full with Wheelersburg but it is not impossible. As far as Waverly goes, you cannot discount how important to the program that Howell, Adrian and Reed have been with Howell and Adrian both playing Varsity since their freshman year. That being said I do think the Tigers have a shot at being even better next year. WIth the junior class going 6 deep they have been winners at every level. Add in Swain a couple of the JV kids, Robertson and Futhey and you have the makings of a very very good ball club next year. However just like Piketon we are not done yet this year. Lets bring home a district championship and send our seniors out on a great ride.

From what I have been told he is already living back here and will start school here in August.
