They had a very good season and even led at halftime today which says a lot about how hard they play and how well the coaching staff prepared them. They were simply outmanned but never quit.

Burg was the better team. 4 players in double figures I believe. Truitt was huge today at the line. Definitely doesn’t play like a Freshman.

I think Burg can beat Piketon. Burg is more athletic than them also.

There’s no “can beat,” Burg SHOULD beat Piketon. As I’ve said all year Burg and Oak Hill are the 2 best D3 teams in SE Ohio and whoever the 3rd best team is would be a good gap away from those two teams.

If this was Vegas, I’d start the line around Wheelersburg -8 vs Piketon.

McLaughlin is a nice player, but he carried a big load and was not able to finish the game strong.

McLaughlin had a really nice first 3 quarters and looked worn down a bit in the 4th. But, a really nice all around player, I was really impressed with his overall game.

So, the word is that Holden can't shoot? Because he looked like a decent shooter today, very good from the FT line. Has a little hitch on the jump shot, but really nice rotation and follow through.

He’s not a pure shooter but he puts in the work. That’s why you’re seeing improvement.

Coach Ater and staff did a nice job at halftime and the second half was pretty dominant. I thought yesterday that Wheelersburg took great shots. The ball moved extremely well. Holden was a great facilitator and defender yesterday. They are scary when he does all 3.
