... this one played out the way it looked on paper ... Warren on paper is a team that is well coached, overachieved with 17 wins , was projected to have a "down" year , no "flashy" players but an excellent TEAM - running offensive sets, passing the ball, hard nosed defensively, a solid fundamental TEAM with THE BIG MAN in the MIDDLE as what made them go ... a TEAM ... Unioto on paper wins this game at all but the post position .. too many weapons offensively ... and they have SWACK - PG, a defensive nightmare as he can create for himself, scores everywhere , can take over a game ... fundamentally sound TEAM vs Talented TEAM ... in my experience fundamentals vs a MORE individually talented TEAM equates to a tight basketball game with the fundamentally sound TEAM winning IF they can take away the "leader" on the floor for the Talented TEAM ... force the other players to do what they aren't used to doing - making decisions with the ball ... last night Warren was never able to take Swack out of the "control" position on the floor ... going into this one Unioto's seniors had played 7 games on the Convo floor - experience .... Warren kept the game low scoring - Warrior Advantage ... had the lead at intermission 28-26 ... even being held to 4 points in the 3rd they were only down 4 going into the 4th period trailing Unioto up 36-32 ... a Warren 4-0 run to start the 4th quarter tied the game at 36-36 a piece ... 4:42 to play enter Logan Swackhammer vs Josh Huffman ... Swack PG had the ball in his hands vs Huffman in the post needed to GET the ball - the U took the entry passes away, Peyton Hill /Gabe Fisher were both big in containing the senior 6-5 Huffman down the stretch - a win for Unioto as now the outcome of the game was in the hands of less experienced players who were forced to be THE goto guy - advantage UHS as Swackhammer with the ball, took over - 8 points down the stretch, a BIG assist to Chance Smith in the left corner for a BIG triple with 3:13 to play ... Swack vs Huffman down the stretch => Swack ... Unioto vs Warren down the stretch => Unioto 48 Warren 44 a final ...

The big man from warren was very impressive last night against hill. If Warren had a guard that was stand out like swackhammer they would’ve been just about unbeatable. Great season for warren tho they should be back at the convo again next year
