Hiland 20-5 vs River 24-1 round two district finials

Post by Hawks1112 »

My Hawks vs Pilots round two,we may have took round one with a late spurt in the game to win by 15, but the stakes are a lot higher this time, we'll have to bring are A game on defense again if we expect to move on to the regionals, Rivers supporting cast has much improved since the last time we played them, where they only had three guys score.we'll see who steps up in a big game come Friday

I'll take Hiland, and will take them in the next game too.

Winner of this game likely reaches Columbus.

Should be close and 50 points might win it.
Winner should be favored to reach the Schott.

My Hawks take down the one man team, Islay what a great player but 24 out of 29 is not going to win you very many games

I think River wanted to make this into a physical game as much as they could, and it got a little chippy a few times, I'm glad my Hawks did not back down from them, the rims at Cambridge seem to have a lot of spring to them,I have never seen so many lay ups where the ball was more than half way down then spring back out

The amount of perimeter physical contact that was allowed in this game was crazy - makes for an ugly game. Congrats to both teams on fine seasons

I think it seemed pretty opposite. Hiland wanted to make this as physical as possible. Basically looked at the refs and said, you either are going to foul us all out or let us all play. The latter was chosen. The pilots, especially Isaly, were just beaten up physically and mentally. Also, I'm glad Lukas didn't back down from Hiland as they truck sticked him to the ground and got an intentional foul... Hiland is a great program, great team. But they were the bullies of that game.

I'm not getting into a , what you saw and what I saw, but it seems like the Hiland players were always tucking there jerseys in as the River players were grabbing and pulling on them, and also Islay did his share of beaten up on A Miller when he drove to the basket, it just came down to Rivers supporting case, did not help him out at all ,like Rivers coach said they had some open looks ,the supporting cast did, in the two games we played them, that only three players scored against us, that's going to win you many games

You can believe what you like.. the difference is that one of us is a homer and one of us doesn't have a hat in the ring. But that's okay.. Hiland outplayed River thoroughly, as the score indicated..

But all i'm going to say is if you think Hiland is always bullied, you may have become desensitized to how they play. They've always been the physical team so I wouldn't think they'll typically get sympathy from anyone.
