Convo, 2 sessions or 1 ticket?

Post by joeboggs1 »

Do they clear the Convo between games for the district championship games, or will one ticket let me watch both games Friday night?

I was wondering the same thing for the games on Saturday........

You have a 12:00 and 2:00 game, then 6:00 and 8:00.

They clear the gym between the D4 and D3 games

Pretty sure it is cleared in between. Great time to get something at the Union St Diner!

If games are spaced 1:45 or 2:00 apart then you can almost always bet they are not clearing the gym.

2:30 hours apart then yes. Start times are what you look at.

The Sectional semis were 6:15 and 8:00. No clearing. The district semis were this way too. 1:45 between start times. No clearing.

The D2 and D3 sectional finals at SE and Waverly etc...
Start time 6:00 and 8:30. —- definitely clearing.

The district finals are 6:00 and 8:00. No clearing — extra 15 minutes for medal and trophy presentations— cutting down of nets.

Saturday 12:00 and 2:00 and 4:00 and 6:00. No clearing —- I wish.

Saturday 12:00 and 2:00 then 6:00 and 8:00 — definite clearing.

I think once you get to the district finals the clearing of the Convo is more than fair, especially after 2 games on 1 ticket. This gives the OU/Athens area a good financial boost with people going to eat, as well as gives the fans of the remaining 2 games a great opportunity to secure a close seat to watch their team compete in the district final.

We are very blessed to have the Convo in our area and I am very thankful that kids and fans get to experience this wonderful moment each year.
