Paint Valley Coaching Vacancy

It is officially a tough time to be a head coach. Tonight, Paint Valley voted to non-renew long time Coach Dave Shoemaker (3-2).

Obviously it is less desirable without Dylan Swingle in now, but it really isn't in a bad position with 4 starters back.

I’m not surprised by the decision of the Board. To be honest I’m more surprised the vote was 3-2. Paint Valley usually has talent so I think it will draw some attention.

I heard this rumored early in the season, but I am still surprised.

I sure would like to know the board's rationale for making that move. Best wishes to Coach Shoemaker.

I'm not so sure the BOE doesn't have a change of heart on this one. Seems that the former coach has a lot of support in the community.

It's not hard to know what's what with Dave. Dude's not shy about telling you how he feels. He's answered every one of the points in the anonymous letter and still got non-renewed. Shady.

I'm out at anonymous letter. Any administration that gives credence to anyone too "chicken crap" to sign a letter says all you need to know. This coach will be better off in the long run. Once this kind of crap starts, it will not stop.

Wah!! Wah!!! Wah!!!

That's all I ever can read when I see anything that glory hog says.

Maybe it was a shady way to get rid of him, but that works out well since he's such a shady person. Good riddance.

Nope, I wouldn't do something like that. If I were, I'd put my name on it. I don't like people doing things like that.

If I thought he was harmful towards the kids instead of just full of himself, maybe I'd consider it. Just because I think he's shady doesn't mean that I think he's dangerous.

PV is currently taking applications for the job. 2 board members resigned due to how the situation was handled.

Any word on candidates for this position. Paint Valley is a good job. Typically good athletes. Nice Facilities and good community support. I have to believe there are some good young coaches that want this job.

Maybe he was tired of finishing 4th in the SVC and thought they needed someone else to get them over the hump.
