Jackson sounds like they’ll be without Nevan Yates

Good stuff! As of right now, Logan will be playing 5 of the preseason top 8 teams (5 teams-6 games) at some point this season.

I can’t fathom how Piketon will be top 15

I understand that Perdue graduated and is not at Piketon anymore along with a few others, but the Streaks still return key guys (Lighlte, Reader, Blanton,Little, Thacker, Mathews). I expect Junior guard Logan Nichols to play valuable minutes along with a few sophomores coming up who could possibly some playing time. Piketon may not have a guy that will go for 40 every night but with the right game plan night in and night out and everyone contributing and doing their part Piketon will win plenty of games. The Redstreaks were a district final team last year and I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t be back in it this year.Lastly before I get to my thoughts on about the Streaks pre-season ranking I think the Streaks can challenge Zane Trace in the SVC and possibly win it should be a fun year of basketball and for the Redstreaks As for the Pre-Season ranking I think Piketon is where they should be at right now and I believe we will definitely see the Streaks in Pfloyd’s Top 8

Fed Hock moved way up the list from the end of last season.

Coal Grove at #42..... they will win 15 games this year, and make another D4 tournament run :!: :!:

Ironton lost their best shooter in Adkins

Chesapeake will beat a few teams that are better than them because of Davis, but they will be down again

Fairland will be athletic and good on D. They have a solid freshman group coming up (not sure if any of them are ready for varsity bball though) :?: :?:

South Point has arguably the best guard in SEO in Fox. He is coming off of a knee injury though. 10-15 wins this year for the Pointers :?: :?

Gallia will be solid with 7'1" Loveday protecting the rim, and a solid group of veteran guards around him. They'll stay in the Top 8 all year. D2 is tough though :P

IMO. Alexander is too low, Chillicothe is too high, Gallia/Logan should be flipped and Athens/Jackson should be flipped. Good stuff, I'm ready for some basketball.

Landis was not a true post player. He liked to drift outside . The Chiefs starting 5 could be their tallest over all . All 6'1and taller and will run the floor well.

Now that is a lot of work! Of course I like your picks but honestly this is your passion. Is the old Van ready for the road?

Logan was fine without a true post player last year. A bunch of guys back from a 20 win team puts them at the top.

Chillicothe is going to be scary good next season and should be really good this year. Jayvon Maughmer is going to be a monster, then mix in Noel, Beard, and Miller and they have a great core.

I personally would have had Waverly in, with Jackson just outside, but that’s why this is posted early, to get those opinions out there and to create a lot of discussion. Waverly might lack a consistent “go-to” scorer this year, but man they have some athletes and can really get in you defensively.

Jackson will be very good though. Really tough group of kids.

Adena will be a team to watch out of the SVC. Played a ton of freshmen last year and started to get pretty competitive about halfway through the season. They have a couple of really solid seniors in their mix too. Maybe not a 15 win team yet, but they will be very good by tournament time if they stay healthy.

I agree Dani I would have liked to see Waverly in the top 8. Last year knocked Sheridan and Jackson out of the tournament. split with Wheelersburg and return what I believe will be the best back court in SEO in Remington and Marquez along with Robertson. Good news is they will have their chance to prove it on the court as they will play Athens, Chillicothe, Wheelersburg x2, and Jackson in the regular season. They play Athens in the first game of the year and travel to Chillicothe in January for what very well could be the most athletic matchup of the year. They will also see Alexander at the Beasts of the East and will probably play both Piketon and Eastern Pike in the holiday classic. What a schedule! Jackson will be very good and definitely elite 8 material if yates plays for them. Eastern Pike will have a great record as no one in the SOC 1 should beat them. Going to be a great year. Thanks for all of your hard work Pfloyd. As always don't agree with everything but have the utmost respect for your knowledge and hard work.

Alexander is a much stronger team then what you have them at. With a 6'11" post player who can control all areas in the paint, offense and defensively that can destroy anyone who comes in his area and extremely strong shooters always in the corner waiting for a kick out and the fastest guard in the TVC. They are returning many players from last year along with four returning starters. Much more experience with playing in big games this year. Looking forward to the Alexander Athens game. WAY underrated!!

I don't think that anyone close to the program, or anyone familiar with the program is too worried about that. They'll have plenty of size and tons of experience.
