JV game was pretty wild. Minford kept hitting big 3’s but not enough to outlast 3’s all game long from Brown, big buckets in paint by Bragg and Spires finished it off and had probably 10 rebounds.

The varsity Ironmen got off to a woeful start and were down 10-0 about 3 min into the game. The Ironmen kept coming though. Caleb Wallis was relentless once again and ended with around 20 points. Caden Donaldson and Braxton Hammond were long and everywhere every time they were on the court. Matt Humphreys had several very good minutes of contribution and played good against the much longer Dalton.

Tied at half 22-22 the Ironmen got going a bit and Cooper Donaldson reigned in some big 3’s and dished out a big assist on a fast break that really helped put the hammer down. Treylan Davis was a solid scorer all game long and Nevan Yates drilled a big 3.

Good win, moving on and will have to be sharper to beat Vinton County Friday night.

8-2 feels good
