Waverly needs to win this one to try and get something rolling after getting annihilated by Chillicothe

Just going off of common opponents, looks like this should be a pretty close game. Question is which Waverly team is going to show up, I think Oak Hill has some size Waverly will have to contend with. I think Oak Hill will do a good job of slowing the pace of this game down and I think I'll take the Oaks at home by 5.

If OH handles their pressure I think Darby and Hammond are enough to win.

I could see a 33-31 game and I could see a 58-54 type game

Oak Hill guards need to be good and Waverly big guys need to be good. Interesting matchup

Agree with everything you said. If Waverly turns the Oaks over the way Coal Grove did, Waverly by playing as many kids as they do, will wear the Oaks down and probably win the game. Forget the loss to Chillicothe, you will see a different Waverly team Tues night. Chillicothe is capable of doing that to a lot of teams.

I look for the Tigers to come out fired up after the Chilli game and win this one by 10. I am predicting a 58-48 Tiger victory.

Good Luck Waverly!

As many of you have stated, if Oak Hill handles pressure then they win. Coach Persin is one of the best at preparing his teams and after the abundance of turnovers against Coal Grove I'd imagine his kids will be ready.

Oak Hill 56
Waverly 47

I’ll take the oaks at home by 5, first to 50 wins more then likely.

... interesting game ... Waverly IS a TEAM that thrives on the transition game while struggling in the half court ... the Oaks NEED to control the tempo of every game they play to get the "W" ... After seeing both of these teams I give the edge to Waverly - a deeper team, can run lots of players at OHHS for the entire 32 minutes - the Oaks don't have the personnel to run for 32 minutes with Waverly ... I came away from the Waverly vs CG game thinking an Oak Hill area of concern is the ballhandling on the perimeter ... as good as Darby IS what he is not is a PG ... the Oaks were turned over 25 times by Coal Grove ... Waverly's on ball pressure IS tougher than CG's AND it is for the entire 32 minutes ... Coach Persin will need to come up with a "scheme" for protecting the ball on each possession ... no prediction here as the game ALWAYS has to be won on the court ...

Coach Persin is a master of getting his team to dictate a game's tempo. Waverly seems to have a collection of good athletes who are struggling to find their basketball soul if forced into a half court game.

Given the game is at Oak Hill, Oaks 50 Tigers 36

Well, its getting close to game time. No idea how to predict this one...... If Waverly can hit some shots like the recent 9 three’s by 7 different players game they should win. If Waverly struggles again to put it in the basket they will leave Oak Hill with another loss....

If waverly can find a way to bring the Oaks out of the slow down game, they should be in good shape.
Waverly is one of the most athletic teams in Southern Ohio. And with the Defensive pressure from Remington, they should be able to get this game up tempo.

Remington and Marquez need to continue to be aggressive offensively. They both need at least 15 to give Waverly a shot to win. I know Remington was very aggressive against Chillicothe. He needs to have that same attitude tonight.

So far this season it has been like I feared it could be for the Tigers... I knew they had a lot of athletes and a few basketball players. I was hoping their athleticism and defensive pressure would be enough to get them past some of their better opponents. When teams are able to handle the pressure the Tigers have no answer when they are forced to rely on just basketball skills. Not taking anything away from those boys, because they give you effort every game.

I do like that Travis has been giving minutes to Zeke. Wish things could get figured out with Smallwood because I think he could contribute a good bit if he is playing well. I would like to see him and Shanks get some of Dunn's minutes. Dunn plays hard but he is hit or miss game to game and I think plays weak at times. I think Shanks has the potential to be a good scorer at some point, whether that happens this year or next I'm not sure.

As far as tonight goes, I think it will be a close game but I believe Oak Hill at home will make shots down the stretch and get the win.

Marquez and Dunn seem to be having a good game.
