Waverly at South Webster

Post by Ukfanatic »

Great win for the Tigers tonight at Webster. 67-65. Both teams played extremely well. Robertson on fire for waverly. Ended up with 26 including 7 threes. Great pressure from the Tigers as always. Blevins played well. Bockway hit a couple of threes but missed a few as well. He went 6 for 6 in the first game. Great second road win for the Tigers this week. Win at Oak Hill and win at Webster. Could complete the trifecta tommorrow agains Alexander at the beasts of the southeast if it doesn’t get cancelled. I will say this, South Webster will make a lot of noise n the d4 tournament. They are loaded. Waverly improves to 8-4.

Solid win.

Was Trey open or did he hit tough 3’s?

He hit tough ones. 6 in the first half. Hit an eighth one in the third quarter but the clock operator hadn’t started the clock so they waived it off. With Robertson and Marquez both shooting lights out it opens up driving lane for Remington. Cody drew about 9 fouls tonight on drives. The Tigers are really starting to come together offensively. Hope we get to play Alexander tommorrow.

Thanks. Marquez also hitting definitely opens it up. Waverly needed that and seem to be headed in the right direction

Another close and entertaining game in Webster but another tough loss for the Jeeps. Can't fault the effort, they just not closing games out in 4th quarter. Gotta give Waverly credit though...Robertson looks like a 25ppg player by his junior year. Waverly's full-court pressure caused Webster problems all night.

Jacob Ruth played a great game for Webster. Scored about 9 straight points for Webster in 3rd quarter. Blevins gotta stay out of foul trouble going forward. Doesn't get much easier next week with Green, @valley, and Portsmouth on schedule for Jeeps. All they can do is keep grinding and gettin better for tourney.*
