Incredible game. Jackson kept scrapping and Nevan Yates hit shots all game long and Caleb Wallis scored/dished and created turnovers to give Jackson a chance with a great last 10 minutes.

Jackson was down 17 and everyone on the court did their job and we started hitting the 2 point shots. Donaldson showed his greatness and ended with 20, Wallis just is amazing with his energy and game...had 16 I think. Yates hit big shots all game. Caden Donaldson was all effort and crashed boards big in the 4th.....the good karma kid??? That was 10th man, freshman Evan Spires. He came in and Jackson got things going. He rebounds, passed and defended. Such a tough 10 minutes from the late 3rd to end of regulation and Evan brought it and stayed solid in that crazy crazy environment.

Jackson missed a couple easy in air out backs and we had ball with 1 min and game tied. Burg defense was very good and we didn’t get a great shot but did get a tough 3 by Yates that missed. The last minutes...insane atmosphere, felt like a regional championship.

Jackson boys....you did it, you showed it on the road. Tough loss, now go win the FAC and make a big tourney run.

Best of luck to Burg...your team is outstanding, great home atmosphere and great student section.

Would love to see FG% for each. Seemed like Burg shot way better. Maybe not, maybe we outrebounded and forced more turnovers? Not sure.

Thanks. Wasn't sure it was ever posted, but then again, would have been easy to miss with all the nonsense in this thread!

Both teams came out strong then Burg built that double digit lead. Jackson was on the ropes but continued to play hard. Felt like Burg let up some when they should have put their foot on the gas. Great comeback by the Ironmen. The game ended up being as advertised. Good win by the Pirates.

Burg won. Jackson lost. For those who don’t want to admit it. Lol. It was a really good game. Point guard for Jackson was really good for his size and #10 went off behind the three point arc. #12 seems to be their legit basketball player. Holden scored 23 points. Led all scorers. He wasn’t that active either. He’s got to be a player of the year candidate

Sounded like a battle! Just curious what Division is Wheelersburg? Jackson? And Fairland?

I see even the Jackson faithful can not name the two best Jackson victories of the year. Has Jackson had two significant victories yet this year?

Fairland moved down to D3 this year. They are in the Jackson Sectional with Wheelersburg.

What are you doing 2old? Stop. Quit associating everything together.

Jackson’s best wins are Washington CH and Greenfield. Our favorite color is red and we like dogs over cats.

Great win by the Pirates. Jackson had the shot at the buzzer to win but couldn’t get it to go. No. 3, 10 and 12 carried Jackson down the stretch but 3 should have fouled out before the 4th qtr. You can not bump the offensive player like he did all night while on defense.

On a side note, McDavid needs to get out of reffing. He has always picked on Burg star players over the years and tonight was no different. He called two of the worst fouls on Holden I’ve ever seen. Jackson player drove the lane, Tanner just stood there straight up and he called both fouls. That has to be let go.

Also, how does Holden not touch the ball in the paint. NO ONE AROUND HERE CAN STOP HIM WHEN HE GETS THE BALL THAT DEEP!!!!!!!! When Jackson was making there comeback he hardly touched the ball. Jackson had no one that could guard him.

Wallis has playedthat hands up body to body perimeter defense every single game this season and I think he’s in foul trouble 1x. He gets it done with his feet. If he at 5’6 130 gets called for it, he’ll adjust.....he also drove and could’ve had a couple and 1’s late...but no call.

It was a tough and good game.

Thx 92. Gee a little sensitive. Relax and enjoy your recent success in basketball. Heavens knows you have waited a long time for it.

Nice wins but hardly earth shattering. Beat Chillicothe. That would be a nice win.

Yes, tough look from right side....from my angle looked like it was going to back in but not enough on it. Defense was really good by Burg on that possession
