Eastern Pike 52 @ Green 48 Final

Post by beaverlover »

Green has been rolling since getting Kimbler back and they come off a HUGE win at Webster. Eastern also playing well and have won 12 straight. Green is very good at home and there confidence has to be sky high right now. I expect a very good game on Friday.

... it should be a great game Friday night in Franklin Furnace ... Eastern Pike making there first appearance in the Elite 8 rankings this week ... Green as you posted are at full strength Tayte Carver/Tanner Kimbler combo "ain't" bad for the Bobcats ... but is it enough vs Leist/Miller & Co. for the Eagles of Coach Barrick ...

Green probably sky high after beating South Webster at SW. Keeping that emotion under control, and then having to play an outstanding team like Eastern Pike, who just happens to be coached by one of the best coach's in SEO, will be a hard task. I would not be surprised if it's a very hard fought close game right down to the end.

Green now has wins over Coal Grove and South Webster on their resume...so they capable of pulling the upset here. Bobcats did a good job on Blevins and Bockway for Webster despite the size disadvantage, so they should be able to contain Eastern's bigs as well. Kimbler is fun to watch...kid will pull up from 25ft if you don't get out on him. Don't know if Green will beat Eastern, but they'll play them tough.*

Green is always a tough place to play for the Eagles. It'll definitely be a tough one. They'll need to step up the defense and contest all perimeter shots. Green shoots the ball extremely well from beyond the arc. And as far as the offensive side goes, I look for Leist to take control and distribute the ball like he is capable of doing. Clemmons needs to step up and make that open shot, teams have been leaving him open pretty much the whole season. He may be an X-factor in a game like this.
Overall I think the Eagles will be fine.
Eagles by 8.

Unfortunately for Western they took a big loss tonight at home against SV. May have really sealed their fait unless they get some help. Big win on the road for Eastern had to hold off there at the end but hey anytime you go on the road and can walk away with a win it's a good night.

Very good conference win on the road for Eastern. Cochenouer led the Eagles with 14 points and hit some big shots, including the game sealing Free throws with 3 seconds left. Leist and Miller both had 12 points. With SV upsetting Western last night, Eastern has a 2 game lead in SOC. Still have tough games vs Western and @New Boston.
