Huge OVC win for the Dragons. Coach Speed has done an outstanding job with Fairland this season.

Fairland can really control a slow tempo and execute with great precision and patience.

Nice win

With less than a minute to play, tied up and Ironton with the ball. The Fighting Tigers should have held for the last shot instead of taking a three point shot with about 30 seconds left to play.

I'm not even exaggerating - Speed deserves to be Coach of the Year in D3.

Tremendous job by him this season.

I agree!! I was wondering the same thing. Why didn't Lafon call a timeout with 30 seconds left and set up a play with Wilson or Large to end regulation with a win or go to overtime. They did Fairland a favor by shooting a 20 foot three pointer with at best their 4th scoring option. Dragons rebounded, ate the clock and scored a bucket.

I hate that style of basketball. I wish High school had a shot clock. I remember years ago in this area a game ended 6 to 2 because one team held on to the ball it’s a boring game when it’s played like that.

34 total Rebounds in the game according to the Ironton Tribune, now that's slowing the game down.

I'd like to see the time of possessions for each Team.

Ironton -- 20
Fairland - 14

Agree 100%............A time out with a little coaching instruction would have eliminated the poor shot selection.....
