Looks like the coaches did a fine job ranking these teams as the 1-6 and 8 are all apart of the final eight teams as well as the number 10 seed.
Should have 4 great games on our hands the next couple days in the wonderful downtown gym in Waverly.
2/22
#1 Adena vs. #8 Portsmouth @ 6:00
#2 Eastern Brown vs. #10 Valley @ 8:30
2/23
#4 North Adams vs. #5 Piketon @ 6:00
#3 Western vs. #6 West Union @ 8:30
Game 1 should should be an interesting one. Adena has had a great season but has gotten bit by the injury bug and Portsmouth is very athletic with Fraulini being a threat to score from anywhere.
In my opinion, game 2 should be all Eastern Brown. They have shooters for days and the Vaughn kid can flat out rebound. It wouldn't surprise me if Valley makes this a game but Coach Beucler will have the kids ready to play tonight.
Game 3 should be the best of the four games. North Adams has shooters, nice guards, and McCormick inside to make things tough on Piketon. Coach Copas and Coach Legg will have both teams ready to play. Piketon has pressure for days and Alex Blanton. If North Adams can handle Piketon's pressure, they win. If Piketon can turn them over, they win.
Game 4 is a big question mark. Lane Brewster for Western looked to be shaken up in the 3rd quarter of the Northwest game. If he is healthy, he is a game changer. If he is not, that would be a big loss for them. West Union can score a lot of different ways and is a very physical team. Their inconsistency is a problem, but if they can defend and get shots to fall, they can put up points in a hurry.

Brewster was injured at the end of the 3rd period and did not return. The injury looked bad and many thought the worst, a possible break.waterboy99 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 1:56 pm Looks like the coaches did a fine job ranking these teams as the 1-6 and 8 are all apart of the final eight teams as well as the number 10 seed.

Thank God for answered prayers, nothing is broke. Lane will play but will be in alot of pain. WESTERN will have to play a great game to win this one.
