Heck yeah...Holden has a foul just getting on the bus to Athens. Isn’t that how it’s done?

Yes, I think they have two 6'3-6'4ish players in their starting lineup.

NA has a little bit of size and I really like the makeup of their team and style of play. But, I just don't see them having the horses to knock off Burg on Saturday.
They will try and turn over the Pirates before getting into the half court or at least force them into quick shots and they box out extremely well, but they also can't let Holden get the ball in position where it will be easy to score. I'm guessing that they'll be pretty physical with him, but I still believe that he'll be able to get whatever he wants.
I'll take Wheelersburg by 21.

Thanks! I think Wheelersburg can really be bothered in two ways. Extremely athletic guard play, and a dominant low post presence. I don't think anyone on Burgs schedule has had either of these elements that can really take over a game. Hopefully they can find their rhythm at the Convo and keep this great run going!burgfella69 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 9:36 pmYes, I think they have two 6'3-6'4ish players in their starting lineup.

If Burg beats NA this weekend, let's hope they play Valley instead of Alexander, as they have a 6'10 post playerspider2Ybanana wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 9:58 amThanks! Good luck to the Pirates on Saturday. I've been as guilty as anyone looking ahead to a Harvest Prep/Burg matchup, but gotta take it one game at a time in the tourney. If Burg can keep the pace up-tempo, they should get the win here.*

We are all guilty of that. To be completely honest, the matchup I'm looking forward to is Wheelersburg and Meadowbrook if both were to reach the Regional Semi's.art_vandelay wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 2:23 pm Good luck to the Pirates on Saturday. People are really sleeping on Meadowbrook. They went to State in Division 2 last year and only graduated one starter, albeit a solid guard.
They've won 8 in a row, and 13 of the last 14. Of those wins they recently beat New Philadelphia, a loaded team who is the #1 seed in the D2 East district and hands down the favorite to reach the Regionals out of that D2 bracket.
They are big, physical, and have plenty of athletes they could throw at Holden. Their big kids would be a very difficult matchup for Burg. They play an absolutely brutal schedule and are really playing well at the right time. I think they'll beat Garaway if they meet in the District Final.
Of course, none of that matters. Only team that matters for Burg is North Adams but it's fun to think about.

He is 6'9 and from what I hear he is a good shot blocker but not very athletic and Burg needs to make a statement Saturday against NAburgfella69 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 12:08 pmIf Burg beats NA this weekend, let's hope they play Valley instead of Alexander, as they have a 6'10 post playerspider2Ybanana wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 9:58 amThanks! Not a battle what so ever, with every player in the starting 5 for Wheelersburg having extreme talent, and star power coming off the bench with players such as Matthew Miller, North Adams has no shot at rallying past the Burg. Once the shots start to fall, the Pirates are an unstoppable force from all parts of the court.

Have seen both teams play more than once and dont see NA keeping this one close.
Re: Convo 3/2 (1) Wheelersburg vs (4) North Adams
I agree this could very well be a battle , was very fortunate to win their game against Meigs. Burg may be the real deal, but really don’t see any strength in their schedule this year. We will soon find out if there is anything behind all the hype.
Re: Convo 3/2 (1) Wheelersburg vs (4) North Adams
Agree that Meadowbrook is really good. Long way to regionals for everyone. No guarantees. will be fun at the Convo over next couple weeks.
Re: Convo 3/2 (1) Wheelersburg vs (4) North Adams
Ask fairland how their strength of schedule helped them.

Apparently you don’t follow much basketball outside of your area ? Meadowbrook is the favorite from the eastern to play in D-3 regionals in couple weeks. They could face The Berg in semifinals
