Old school we call Eastern Meigs, new wave says Reedsville Eastern
Yep, in the old days OHSAA always put the school name first then the county last in outlying districts in counties when schools had the same name (Eastern Meigs, Eastern Pike, etc). Now they reference a base town's name first (Reedsville Eastern, Beaver Eastern) and leave out the county names.
So who was the Eastern Meigs Burg played?

That was just Meigs. Pomeroy is the town. Meigs High School.

Eastern Meigs is East of Meigs, as you could assume. Reedsville is the town.

So since Burg beat Meigs and Webster beat Eastern Meigs and South Webster is technically East of Burg.... can we call them Eastern Burg? :D

Burg beat Meigs
Eastern Burg beat Eastern Meigs

Burg beat Meigs
Eastern Burg beat Eastern Meigs
That would be a lot like South Muletown or Manchester East

That was Pomeroy Meigs (The largest school in the county. Meigs local is the school district and it started in 1967-68 school year and as the name suggests, covers all the county except the southern and eastern parts. It came to be with the consolidation of Middleport, Pomeroy and Rutland high schools). The others in the county are Eastern (Reedsville) and Southern (Racine).
