Robertsons 31 came from driving and either making the shot or getting fouled. He didn’t take many threes, made 1, in the 1st quarter. He had 8 points in the 3rd, all drives to the bucket and was 11-15 from the line in the 4th, accounting for his 19 points in the second half. Smallwood and Will Futhey with a good job on the glass in addition to their 21 points and what can you say about Wade Futhey coming in off the bench and draining two 3’s and 3 for 3 from the line.

SW pretty much got tromped by Valley tonight.

Minford, Oak Hill, Waverly, Valley all victors tonight
SW, Beaver, Northwest, West all the losers tonight

Burg remains winless 😂

Hopefully they can get that first victory @ Valley on 12/10😉

Wouldn’t surprise me none. Valley can scrap but with Burg size it should be a big margin

I believe Eastern will be more competitive than I and alot of others thought. It's early but they are 3-1 with the loss being to a good Minford team on the road in a game they only trailed by 5 with under 5min to go..alot of folks weren't happy with the move up to Soc2 but it will absolutely help come D4 tournament time when it matters the most (See SWebster). We may see this team back playing on the Convo floor again in March.

Might as well chock up 2 wins for beaver over Webster when it’s time

Not sure it’s time to chock up wins for Eastern just yet , I think they have exceeded expectations so far , but it’s only 4 games , they are still a very young team , who I hope just continues to improve each game , and maybe by the end of the year they can make some noise in the tourney , but that’s a long ways down the road.

All I’m saying is webster has talent to hang with anyone but they gotta get the ship set straight now before it’s too late.

I get it. Losing Blevins to graduation and talent that left program,Jeeps took a bit of a hit, may take awhile to other kids to adjust and learn new roles, but there's definitely talent there and unreal talent coming.SW won't be down long, may have it turned around as soon as Early March.

🌲 Swanker Pine’s SOC2 Matchup Of The Night 🌲

Tomorrow 12/10

The Mighty Oaks travel to Minford to take on the Falcons.
This game will prove if Minford is in fact a serious contender for the title after some impressive wins.

The Pirates open up play for the first time this season at Valley. Valley coming off big league win at Webster to improve to 1-3. IMO Valley will be severally mismatched with the Burger Boys ™️ size.

South Webster (1-2, but undefeated in my heart) travels to Waverly to take on DA TIGERS.

Outside of McCorkle, who is Burg's size? Truitt is what 6'2''-3', but he plays as a guard.

Sanderlin, Swords, Miller, Masters.....I guess I don't see the size that you keep talking about.

Maxie is 6'6", I saw McCorkle at a girls game awhile back he's every bit of 6'5", Sanderlin is probably 6'1"-6'2", and Truitt around 6'3". That's plenty of big bodies to throw around.

Two other players are as tall if not a smidge taller than Truitt. Wilson(out all last season with injury) and Lawson(played JV last year) are both capable of quality minutes.

Not sure I have ever seen Maxie play varsity. I know McCorkle is big. The other two are guards. I guess when I see people talk about "size" I don't think of 6'1 to 6'2 perimeter players. That's just me so I guess to each their own.

I also guess since Burg wins by 32 that means they would be about 50 point favorites in Jeep land.

I’m expecting a good thrashing at Burg and maybe a 10 point thrashing at home CB 😂

After watching waverly SW game, Waverly doesn’t look too hot early, Webster has good pieces but similar to waverly had no offensive flow. I’ve said it before on here Robertson is hands down the best guard in the conference maybe all of southern Ohio, Wallis at Jackson only one close that I’ve seen. 32, 25, 31, and 20 in waverly’s 4 outings this year

Waverly was down 15 in the 1st half and went a run to end the half down 1 at 27-28. Smallwood was 2-2 from the line, Will Futhey with a bucket and Zeke Brown 1-2 from the line to close out the half. Robinson with 14 in the half.
South Webster came out hot to start the 2nd half and was up 11 or 12 at one point. South Webster held a 10 point lead at 54-44 with 3:58 to play on a bucket by Trae Zimmerman. From there it was all Waverly.
Smallwood scored with 3:11 followed by a steal and bucket by Robertson with 2:46 to cut it to 54-48. With 2:12 to play Robertson connected on 2 FT’s followed by a follow up tip in by Smallwood with 1:51 to make it 54-52. Senior Michael Goodman scored with 1:32 to play followed by a steal and bucket by Will Futhey with 1:11 to play for the 56-54 Tiger lead.
Robertson hit a pair of FT’s with .34 to play to make 58-54 Waverly. Zimmerman connected on 2 FT’s with .26 to make it a 2 point game again but Robertson hit the first of 2 FT’s with .22 to play and Smallwood 1-2 from the line after getting the missed Robertson FT to make it 60-56 Waverly. Robertson then hit 2 FT’s with 3.3 to play for the final 62-56

Robertson 8-9 from the line in the 4th and finished with 33 points.
Tanner Smallwood with a great night on the boards and added 11 points, 7 big points in the 4th.
Will Futhey added 10 points and a nice night on the glass.
Zeke Brown and Michael Goodman 4 each

Baden Brockway lead SW with 18, 9 each half and 4 threes, three in the 3rd.
Trae Zimmerman added 17
Andrew Smith with 12
Devyn Coriell 7
Gabe Ruth 2

Several Waverly players are still in football mode and slowly coming back from injuries. Stulley is out til mid January so getting him back will help as well. Tigers at 3-1 trying to survive a few more weeks to get everyone going.
