Re: Why did season start early?
Thanksgiving is always the 4th Thursday in November. The latest possible Thanksgiving is always when November 1st falls on a Friday (because there are five Fridays, but only four Thursdays - which always makes T-day the 28th). The earliest Thanksgiving is November 22nd, any time November 1st falls on a Thursday.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 8:38 pm The season doesn’t normally start until the week after Thanksgiving.
So the season didn’t extend, it is just that Thanksgiving fell after the normal start date this year.

Many schools don’t schedule till December 6-7 cause they all think they’re going to the football playoffs. Basketball is a minor sport at many schools. AD s all think they’re at big time football schools

Fort Frye first game isn’t until next Tuesday. That being said it’s still a basketball school.

Sure. But way too many schedule cause they think they’re going into the 3rd week of the playoffs. That’s a pipe dream for many. Schedule the 1st game at end of November and adjust accordingly. Wow. It’s not the power 5 college conferences
