2019-20 Diaper Dandies - Top Freshman

Scrolled through some of last years topics and came across this one. Thought it would be interesting to get some ideas of the top freshman to look for this season?

I’ll list some:

Jacob Winters 6’2....might start some but will play a lot on what should be a very good D2 Jackson team. A pretty special athlete. Doesn’t resemble a freshman.

Landon Barnett 5’10 Whiteoak.....stud athlete. This kids name will be known in basketball and baseball the next 4 years. Dad was best baseball player Whiteoak has had in the last 30 years and his uncle the best athlete Whiteoak has had in the last 30 years...and best basketball player....Dad is varsity coach and uncle is the assistant.

Lower kid from South Webster....very good player and opened his career with 13 in his first game

Will Collins 6’2 South Webster ....like Lower not a starter but will be big for Webster next 4 years. Super strong kid

Carson Emery 5’10 athlete Whiteoak. Had 9 to open his career. He and Barnett 2 of the best athletes I have had in my 22 years at Whiteoak.

Ervin kid at Wellston a good player

I think Court House has a talented freshman

Burg/PWest/Northwest I think all have a talented fresh or two

Caldwell has a special freshman in 6’3 guard Bede Lori. He had 29 in their opener and only played about 3 quarters of the game. Not sure how good they’ll be, I think they start 2 freshmen and 2 sophomores but I know they’re talented.

Gallia Academy has a big boy down low that should be on this list.
