Miami Trace @ Chillicothe

Interesting match up here.

Chili has been surprising early on with some head scratching scores.

MT has played well sitting 3-0 in FAC play.

Thoughts?

Could be a bad matchup for MT….but MT is a better basketball team so they should win.

I agree. Guthrie will need to stay out of foul trouble and protect the paint. If they can force Chilli to chuck threes and force turnovers like hillsboro was able to do, they should be fine.

I'll take MT, 55-41. Assuming they zone Chillicothe. Chilli is a tough guard M2M but has struggled thus far when seeing a zone. Guthrie too much for the Cavs, when they try to collapse on him MT has 3-4 excellent shooters. Matchup nightmare this season.

Pretty much exactly what I came here to say. Until Chillicothe gets some consistency in beating zones, I think they will struggle a bit on offense. And MT has a really nice mix to go with Guthrie, so I’ll take the Panthers by 11.

35-33 Panthers. Trace only its 1 3-pointer in the game, which happened to be the game winner. 33% from the field and 7% in 3 land...ouch...but a win is a win, by any means.

I saw that a freshman for Chilli was their leading scorer. Galloway with only 4? What's going on with the Cavs?

As athletic as Galloway is he should never only have 4 points.... unless he's in extreme foul trouble.

Had 2 fouls in the second quarter, didn't miss a whole lot of action. Ended the game with the same two fouls; didn't get called for any the rest of the game.

These Chilli finals looks like first half scores
Defense seems to be solid but the offense must be missing on a few cylinders.

How many points did Guthrie have? Being it was that low of a scoring game, what did the Cavaliers do defensively to hold him in check?

14, but I think the majority of those were in the first half.
