Pfloyd, Westfall at Logan Elm Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. varsity - JV at 6 p.m. - freshman at 4:45 p.m.

Be interesting to see the purple hippo on the reservation.

If the mighty purple-and-white aren't playing on one of these dates, it may be the time to head back up to the great, vast 'Northwest Territory' to see the Roundtown boys.

12/30 Bexley @ Roundtown (Circleville now plays their games at the high school), 7:30 p.m.
1/3 Roundtown @ Westfall, 7:30 p.m.

Merry Christmas to one and all.

Pfloyd ...

Alexander -Has obtained a descent resume my friend ... look at their wins, very respectable.
Maysville -D-2 team that made the regional semi-finals and they only lost one senior from that team! And Alex had em down by 17 at one point.
Westfall - Was 4-0, and beat solid teams to get their.
Peebles - Always a good team and quality win.
Blowing out Nelsonville is not great, but not bad either, they are not basement bad or anything.

... I got it , I got it there 93dog LOL ... I was more than likely "comfortably numb" while I was doing the napkin stats on the Alex boyz lol ... the Spartans are definitely on the radar - they moved into position to climb into the Elite 8 in a week or so ... big games this week and next in the top 8 and lower treehugger group will open some doors for movement BOTH directions for a lot of teams Below the Line ...

bman ... heading to the Northwest Territories is definitely on the "to do" or "to go to" list ... and yes the Purple Hippo WILL be in the cheap seats at LE tonight - I want to see that Westfall team and of course that they are playing LE is a bonus ...

pfloyd,

It should be a good game as Westfall has a very athletic team. It will be interesting to see if the Braves can play better tonight.

If you get to the game early you can see the future of the Braves. JV team is currently undefeated and very large 6'3, 6'3, 6'4 with a very good point guard (some names for the future Thomas, Stonerock, and Elswick) The braves 9th graders and 7th graders are also undefeated

Hope to see you at the game

pfloyd, I'll be snapping photos of the ballgame on one of the baselines. Be ready for a fast paced, end to end game, cause that's what Westfall runs.

Hopefully LE will be ready to execute in this one. They got a lot of talent, but execution and doing the little things are the keys, always has for a Stiverson coached team.

Hopefully giving us a chance to climb the list! Also would like to say Chessy should get some props right now for beating a bigger Huntington High team last night.

floyd ... My DOGS won a nice game Vs a sectional foe (Sheridan) 78-75 I believe it was ...

Athens is now 4-2 overall ... but more importantly, 4-1 Vs D-2 sectional teams from the (Wellston) bracket.

If ATHENS can keep up the solid play, they could be looking at a nice seed, which is quite the change from previous years ...

Usually Gallia, Sheridan, Jackson, etc...etc... are strong and its hard to earn a trip the convo, but Athens has already beat Gallia @ Gallipolis; Jackson @ Jackson; beat Meigs by 18 and now they have beaten Sheridan ... That game with Vinton County in Feb. could determine who gets the top seed, as crazy as that sounds, it might end up that way ... From 1-20 last year to possibly recieving a top seed in 2008-2009 ... Craaaaazy I tell ya.

With Ironton losing (yes I know it was Brookhaven) and Chilly losing to Ironton and Logan Elm pleading to not be atop just yet........I'd have Oak Hill at #1 for right now.

Gallipolis 49 Rock Hill 37

Blue Devils even mark at 2-2. Rock Hill now 2-4.

Big Sam Cook got 13 points and Brandon Klaiber 13 for the Redmen.

Chris Armstrong got 16 and Kyle Mitchell 14 for GAHS.

Game was delayed by one hour and 30 minutes because of a wreck on Rt. 52 in Coal Grove, tying up traffic, including the GAHS team bus.

Reserve game finally got started at 7:30 and the varsity game at 9.

GAHS also won the reserve game, 48-25.

Blue Devils host Portsmouth Friday in a tripleheader.
