#3, 4, 13,14,16,17 are all in the D3 Jackson sectional

The Waverly sectional only have 3 of the top 18

The Athens sectional only has 1 team in the top 23

... looks like the Pfloyd Tour is on the road to Oak Hill tomorrow evening to see Oak Hill vs South Webster ... Saturday will be full with Chillicothe coming to Logan for an afternoon matinee' special with a 1pm start time followed by trying to get to Fairfield Union to catch the 2:30 start between FU vs Logan Elm (FU beat LE @ the Reservation earlier this season) ... question for the masses: anyone playing Thursday evening? Friday night? ( Logan travels to Portsmouth but not sure I want to drive that far, but we will see) ... even Saturday night games are fair game with my Saturday schedule all earlier in the day ...

... I'm open for some suggestions ...

I think the Athens-Gallia game will be a great tactical game to watch.

I agree...Athens is way more consistent....but Gallipolis is getting good at what they do.

I believe if Athens doesn't break loose early...it'll stay tight the whole game.

I agree 92...Athens has the potential to win big, a fast start will be key if the dogs want to move on. There are no easy games in the postseason. To Athens credit though...they have mastered the art of winning close games.

the big win early will add a touch of pressure

Certainly nothing for the Gallia boys to lose.....will their chip of getting drilled be bigger than Athens' chip of being worth their record and assisting the TVC Ohio?

The tourney will add an extra notch of pressure if it is close....no reason to believe Athens won't be able to handle it.

I wonder when the last time a team only lost 1 game and it was by 25+....I bet that's pretty darn rare.

haha..you are correct 92..but it did happen not too long ago. VC in 2007...went 20-0 in the regular season and lost to (eventual State Champions) Chillicothe 80sum to 40sum. They finished at 22-1.

I think Valley deserves to be ranked ahead of South Point. SP has 6 losses and Valley only has 5. Valley beat SP head to head earlier in the year. Valley also beat your #8 team Washington CH. To my knowledge, SP has not beaten any of the teams ranked ahead of them. Just a thought.

... eaglegrad your point is noted by the committee of one - me ... the wins for VHS vs South Point/Washington CH were in the first couple games of the season ... at that time I believe Valley was moved above those teams ... since that time working through the season the changes to the current positions have occurred ... if we take a look at the wins/losses in the last 8 games Valley is 4-4 in that stretch while South Point is 5-3 ... Valley's "L" to Northwest hurt them ... in the committees opinion both South Point/Valley are sitting where they should be coming into this last week of the regular season ... thanks for your input eaglegrad ...
