Whiteoak could do some damage now. Their big kid(6'9" or so) is now playing. Tonight he had 23 points and around 15 rebounds in an OT win over North Adams 59-56. That may be the sleeper going into the new one and done season.

Portsmouth Clay defeats Symmes Valley 84-49 to claim 1st place in the SOC 1. The Panthers finish the regular season on a 17 game win streak to stand at 20-2. Congratulations to the team and coaching staff.

For anyone who doesn't know, WhiteOak doesn't have a 6'9" kid. Ironman92 jokingly posted that they had a 6'9"' foreign exchange student just become eligible, and this guy really took the bait.

He probably took the bait because so many cry babies on here complain about anyone joking around and only wants facts posted so he assumed what he was reading was the truth and not false information.

Guess I took the bait. Thought I could trust info. I guess more fake news is on here too.

... 3 games at Athens this evening ? ... Marietta @ Athens ... is this a 5pm start time for the freshmen game ? ... not many games on the menu tonight I would think - look forward to seeing how many D2 Sectional coaches are in attendance for this one "just in case" they face one of these opponents down the road ...

... I've updated this weeks original rankings - showing this weeks game results for each team that I have scores for from this week's action ... if you take a look at it let me know who or what games are missing ... most teams will have their regular season 22 games completed tonight I have incorrect records apparently for some of the teams ...

I think you have the wrong Fairfield on Leesburg's results, because that would put them at 23 games and is a major size difference in schools.

But, I know we haven't been at 22 games for too long, but is 5 teams winning at least 20 in the regular season a record for our area? Seems like it would have to be...and then you have 3-4 more who could easily reach that mark with a mini tournament run. A great year in the SE for basketball!

I think so. People will call out their record, but they beat 3 Elite 8 schools (maybe 2, I won't argue if we fall out) and competed well with their ridiculous schedule all year. I'm excited to see how well Logan competes in the tournament.

So Logan will jump from 13 into the top 8 all in one week ,not only will that be the biggest jump in one week, I'm just curious will this be the first team ever to make the elite 8?
I don't think you can leave Portsmouth clay out of the top 8 .

Even I can't argue they shouldn't after those 3 wins.

Miami Trace has 4 wins vs teams in the Elite 8
Vinton County
Unioto
Chillicothe twice

Logan and Miami Trace has a common opponent they both lost to in Dublin Jerome, MT by 7 and Logan by 3
