Any score yet on Gallipolis-Portsmouth boys cage game?

Just heard on radio GAHS JVs were down 19 and 16 points but came back to tie the score in regulation then won 65-62 and believe the Blue Imps finished the regular season at 17-4 and 12-2 in OVC play.

Varsity game just got underway on Big Country.
GAHS up 20-9 after 1st period.

GAHS up 38-31 over Trojans at halftime. Trojans outscore Devils 22-18 in 2nd period.

Must be having problems with GAHS-Portsmouth broadcast. Big County has been running commercials the past 20 minutes.

Gallipolis up 59-49 in 4th with 6:12 l4eft to play. Loveday just got his 4th personal foul.

Gallipolis up 65-55 over Portsmouth with 2-plus minutes to go.

Gallipolis tops Portsmouth 81-57 to claim undisputed second place in the final Ohio Valley Conference standings. Devils finish regular season play at 16-6 (10-4 OVC) Portsmouth finishes year 16-6 and 9-5.
Justin Peck led GAHS with 34 points, Evan Wiseman had 20 for the Blue Devils. Zack Loveday had numerous rebounds and blocked shots despite playing most of the 4th period with 4 personals.
GAHS led the whole game.
GAHS will battle Waverly in the post-season tourney at Ross-Southeastern High School on Feb. 24, starting at 6 p.m.
Advance tickets will be available at GAHS on Tuesday since Monday is a national holiday.

Chillicothe closes out the season with Two Road Wins against quality teams at Unioto and At Wilmington tonight !

Waverly with a big 73-59 win over Minford.Cade Marquez with 17 of his game high 21 points in the second half. Clayton Howell with 14, nailing a huge 3 with 2:05 to play to push the Tiger lead to 11.

Whiteoak could do some damage now. Their big kid(6'9" or so) is now playing. Tonight he had 23 points and around 15 rebounds in an OT win over North Adams 59-56. That may be the sleeper going into the new one and done season.

Portsmouth Clay defeats Symmes Valley 84-49 to claim 1st place in the SOC 1. The Panthers finish the regular season on a 17 game win streak to stand at 20-2. Congratulations to the team and coaching staff.

For anyone who doesn't know, WhiteOak doesn't have a 6'9" kid. Ironman92 jokingly posted that they had a 6'9"' foreign exchange student just become eligible, and this guy really took the bait.

... 3 games at Athens this evening ? ... Marietta @ Athens ... is this a 5pm start time for the freshmen game ? ... not many games on the menu tonight I would think - look forward to seeing how many D2 Sectional coaches are in attendance for this one "just in case" they face one of these opponents down the road ...

I've updated this weeks original rankings - showing this weeks game results for each team that I have scores for from this week's action ... if you take a look at it let me know who or what games are missing ... most teams will have their regular season 22 games completed tonight I have incorrect records apparently for some of the teams ...

... looks like we had 3 teams play themselves OFF of the End Table in the last weekend of regular season action - Awesome !!!! and congratulations to Lucasville Valley, Green & Whiteoak !!!!
