... this might mark the 1st time EVER that a Vinton County TEAM has not been included in the Elite 8 during the preseason, regular season or post season ...

I think you are short changing your Logan boys and I feel Gallia Academy is top 8.

Paint Valley just too high IMO.

Our Chiefs have two blowout wins against teams that were/are in your top 8, even higher at one point. Logan plays Lancaster and Athens this coming week.

My only real question here is: how did you know Wahama was (0-1)? I just now found the score and put it on the TVC web site???

And here I thought we had a real solid relationship. To find out you're cheating on me and getting scores elsewhere is heart wrenching, Floyd ... lol

... I92 ... only 2 games into the season for my Purple both wins over top 8 teams - they are an excellent ball club for sure - Landis, Myers, Bell x2 (Caleb/Coby) , Brooks, Little, Cassady - I'd put them up against anyone in SEOhio and feel good about coming out with a "W" - they are for sure top 4 in the SE District ... Fairland ? the Dragons are #1 until they get knocked off and then it will take an excellent game by an even better TEAM ... Fairfield Union at #2? some one will need to knock them out of that position - Logan dropped the Falcons from their schedule - I know there are arguments that that "ain't" so - it is - for whatever reason Logan put off rescheduling FU until it was too late, FU moved on and filled their schedule ... so a head to head with FU is not happening ... #3 is Oak Hill - the Oaks of Coach Persin are playing as well as any TEAM Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line to date - an outstanding set of starters in Landon Carroll, Nolan Carroll, Mitchell Hale, Brett Long, and Mason Darby ... the Oaks won over 20 games AGAIN last season with the same starting lineup PLUS this year with Darby at 6-5 it gives them that "man in the middle" who can score, rebound & play D - I get it , small school, small school schedule - they are good and well coached ...

... I feel good about THIS weeks ranking based on what I have seen so far ... if I count the preseason scrimmage season I have had "eyes on" 16 of my top 20 teams ... I have seen Logan, Chillicothe, Unioto,Piketon, Vinton County, Gallia Academy, Zane Trace, Jackson, Paint Valley in games since Dec 1st ... Fairland/Fairfield Union I know them very well from last year & the preseason ... Oak Hill/Portsmouth/Sheridan/Warren I saw in scrimmages with Oak Hill/Portsmouth/Warren vs each other in one scrimmage ... I am putting a lot of the rankings on comparisons with the top 4 teams in this weeks rankings ...

LOL , 93bulldog - I just found the score myself when I was recording scores from last night ... I googled Wahama vs Buffalo ... got football scores and somewhere in between was the 46-41 loss to Buffalo LOL ...

... I saw Gallia Academy host Jackson last night in the French City ... I feel the teams I have in front of GAHS are in fact better at this point in the season than the Blue Devils I saw last night vs an undersized Jackson squad ... Loveday didn't dominate at the offensive end, he DID change shots from the perimeter as he was guarding Cooper Donaldson much of the second half defensively ... Peck scored 20 points in the 2nd half to prove that size does matter - he did most of that damage with a 1/2 foot or more size advantage for unimpeded layups at the rim ... as far as the rest of the GAHS team nothing special stands out - Evan Wiseman had 9 points but Jackson played solid D for the first half leading at the intermission 23-22 ... GAHS size got the "W" last vs no size for Jackson to stop it ...

... some posters have posted that Gallia will get Fairland for the OVC title ... it may happen, BUT the team I saw last night is no Fairland on paper or on the court imo ... at least not yet ... when is the first matchup between Fairland and Gallia Academy ??? THAT ONE will be worth the price of admission LOL ... if nothing else but for me to see for myself how the 2 teams matchup ...

Was it Fairfield Union that beat Bishop Watterson 43-42 recently??

Yep, it was 43-39 as FU "let" the final shot go up for the 3 that pulled it to within 1 point at the end ...

Waverly wins at Miami Trace scoring 88. Loses at Oak Hill but is very competitive. Wins at South Webster when it shoots 12-30 from the free line and wins anyway. Drops 1 spot. SMH!

Miami Trace is 0-4, South Webster 0-2 for a combined 0-6 ... Piketon and Portsmouth making the big moves into the top 8 dropped many down 1 spot ... Waverly has a matchup with Piketon at the Holiday tournament in Waverly - their opportunity to take matters into their own hands ...

Your TVC outlook

Story thus far has been Nelsonville-York. The Bucks are (2-0) with a big win over VC. They get Wellston and Alex next and could be (4-0) heading into 'county rivalry weekend' vs Athens on 12/22 and Trimble 12/23. if they come out (6-0) then the Buckeyes will have to be taken seriously.

In the Hocking, big night Tuesday.

Trimble (1-0) vs Southern (3-0)
Miller (3-0) vs Waterford (1-1)

Gonna find out quick who the pretenders and contenders are in the small school division
