Belpre Lady Eagles Holiday Tournament, Thoughts?

Lady Eagles head across the River for the Parkersburg Catholic Holiday tournament. . .Thoughts on this??? Belpre Scrimmaged the Lady Crusaderettes in the preseason and did very well against them. . . could be a nice turn around for the Eagles. not sure who the other two teams r. . . .Good luck. . .

should be a nice little tourny,. ... eastern with turley, connery, & co. . should give a nice show with Magnolia, Belpre with Fitch, Leftwich & Crislip, & PC with courtney,. . .all four teams have a couple of good players, the team with least amount of turnovers should prevail. . .good luck to all teams. . .

Does anyone about anything on magnolia?
I know Easterns pretty talented this year. More than just connery and turley. So far its been pullin playing solid bball and hard core d from bev maxson. and im not sure but i think eastern played belpre a few time in the parkersburg catholic summer league, winning every time.

short recap of games tonight. . . eastern handles magnolia easly as catholic handled belpre. . .didn't know a whole lot about magnolia and eastern had little opposition at all . . .as for belpre and catholic. classic just one team fully prepared and one not. . .turnovers, lack of scoring, motionless offense, bad shot selection, no one could or would get it to any of the posts inside, backside defense was nonexistant against courtney fergusion as she scored team high 15 pts, IMO belpre's o'lay defense or lack their of made it easy for PC to score easily. . .just disappointing to see kids with so much athletic talent not improve over the past three seasons. . .shooters progressively getting worse as season passes by and lack of good passes are far between. . .have a strong rebounder avg 15+ rebounds per game now being moved farther and farther away from the basket.. just don't understand the Belpre Offense. . .any one else at the game see something simular or am i just not seeing it. . . thoughts. . .Championship game should be a good one with match up of bigs for Eastern(Turley) and Catholic(Fergusion), just hope folks don't fall asleep during the consolation game maybe lady eagles can find a win somehow. . . Pee Wee/Rec basketball needs to focus more on fundamentals and less on winning. Focus on all players and not just a few. Don't know who is going to develop. Players must work on their games on their own and in the off season. LOTS of work to coach at the high school level. Not always the fault of the coach.

Congrats to Flowers for making the all-tourny team and to the rest of the girls who made the all-tourny team. Congrats to Eastern for a great performance against Catholic and to Emeri Connery for MVP of the tournament.
