First and foremost.....congrats to all the selected 1st, 2nd, 3rd teamers and special mention players throughout all the divisions of the SE District. Getting recognized for all of your hard work over the years and throughout the years always feels good. Enjoy the feeling! It's nice the AP writers select a good number of kids and I believe represent each of the 70 SE District schools.

Coach Bostic of SG obviously did an outstanding job but I just feel Burdette should've been a Co-COY with him.

If these are done after the regular season how could Matt Walburn not be one of the coaches of the year? Jackson had 2 1st team players and a special mention....FU had 2 1st team players and 2 special mention players.....Athens had a 1st a 2nd and 2 special mentions....either Jackson should've had a 4th or Walburn should've been one of the COY.

Gallia Academy had 3 players listed and Jackson beat them handily 3 times.

IMO, and we all know what those are like; I was a little disappointed that only 2 TVC D4 players made first team selection. Especially since 3 of the TVC teams made it to a district final, while the other schools didn't. And in comparison to the boys selections, seems like more boys make first team than on the girls side. But as bdubya said, better luck next year. :122249

Arzen and Cox had to be 1st team players....didn't get to see the other two. By quick count the girls D4 had 6 on 1st team, 12 on 2nd and 14 on 3rd with numerous special mentions. The boys had 10 on 1st team, 8 on 2nd and 11 on 3rd with numerous special mentions....so the overall amount of D4 kids honored are the same but divided a little differently. The boys had more 1st team type players (coaches didn't have Quinten Williams, whereas the AP didn't slight anyone). I already commented that the boys looked overall very fair.

The three TVC Hocking teams did land all the major awards in D-4 girls. Looking forward to Thursday night, supermama.

I think every team is represented....which could water down the special mention list a touch but they have two from some teams on SM. They listed about 50 or so per division....that's a big number.

Who are you speaking of that got left off?
