Best officials in the Southeast District????

Thought this might be a good topic. Who are the better officials that you have seen this year?? Please NO bashing of officials who you think are terrible. Keep this to the best officials.

Without a doubt the best I have seen this year is Keith Throckmorton and Keith Detwiler. They are the consomant professionals in how they manage a game. When I seen them they allow the players to decide the game through fair play and I have never seen them try and upstage the players or coaches. You officials need to be admired for the job you do.

Bobby Crockrel, Tommy Pinkerman, Chuck McKnight and Tommy Hardy. These guys also call it as they see it and they call a good game.

I don't know their names but the team at the Lady Jeeps/Lady Oaks game did a pretty good job Monday night. They let the girls play and didn't call a bunch of silly fouls.

Some mentioned above are too busy looking at the pretty cheerleaders and girls in the stands to call a great game! ;-)

And to think a couple of them could be their dad or even granddad! gross

honestly i didnt realize there was such a thing as good officials just kidding of course but it seems someone is always unhappy usually the team that loses but i do agreee with digger those guys do a good job everytime isee them

I agree, also one is so old if he every got cross half court he would have a heart attack. :oops:

Bub Norris
Lowell Settles
John Derrow
Chuck McKnight

I know I left off a few, but these are the ones I thought of first.

For all of you that say there are no good ones, take the test and get qualified to do some games. It is not an easy job and the money is not that great. Plus, with all of the screaming and yelling fans that think they know everything, the job gets frustrating to officials also. Most of these guys do it for the love of the game. Sure, there are some bad officials out there, but there are some really good ones too.

The young Norris kid is going to be a great basketball ref.
He is doing jr hi games currently and does a great job.
