I doubt anyone else would say that though, ever heard of someone named Katie Smith? National Player of the Year.
I had the same response after his post above.

So from a coaching standpoint, would you rather have that 1000 point player or four 250 point players?

Let's use an 80 game high school career. Doubt you want 4 players on the court giving you a combined 12.5pts/gm when you could get that same production from 1 player.

She's special. If she hadn't played with a 1300 point scorer for 3 years, she'd probably be pushing the 2500+ mark.
Same with Peyton Scott playing with Binkley twins her first two years
Peyton Scott first two years average only 12.8 shots per game playing with all the talent on those teams and still got 1K in two years.

There where three 1,000 scorers on the Lynchburg team Scotts first two years...

Sure - she takes every shot for a bad team!
What an uncalled for slam against a tremendous KID. Becca is one of the best kids. Great role model and great teammate. You prefer her to transfer and score 1250 points on a better team or what? What a ridiculous post for an adult male to make about a female varsity athlete.

Have watched Rebecca from her freshman year and she is a complete ball player. Seems like the coach has a lot of their offense set up for her. Most team will have their offense set up where 50% or more of their shooting will go to their best player. At times that will change due to the defense the other team puts on the floor.

2014? Could have sworn the title said 2017-18
yes i can read but she is the best player ever out of southeastern Ohio just giving her some credit thats all.
Why not make a poster or billboard and stake it in your yard then? This topic is for 2017-18 like I mentioned before, not, "brag on a kid from 3 years ago".

Because it had nothing to do with the subject of the thread. (ie "Players to pass the 1000 pts mark in 2017-18 season")

Post on the topic of the thread or start your own thread.

Well first it’s called a topic—2017-2018. So what happened 3,5, 10 years ago fall under a different thread. So nothing wrong with bragging on your bff but start a who’s the greatest thread.

This thread has taken a turn for the worse. People bashing kids and teams, counting shot attempts, making excuses for playing with other 1000 point scorers , I would argue it would make it easier for a kid to score points if they had other threats the team had to guard. I would also bet most kids that have scored a thousand points shoot a very high field goal percentage and average under 14-16 shots a game. I say congrats to all that has accomplished it this year. Other than Stallings at Eastern in the early 90s I can't think of a kid going over a 1000 as a sophomore.

Impressive fact, Stollings is 1 of only 2 females (OH high schools) to score over 1000pts in a single season. And she holds 3 of the top 6 positions for most points scored in a single season (female in OH).

two different eras son jenna burdette could have went to any college in the nation okay probably could of scored 5000 points in high school but didnt she is team first and jenna could easily get into the WNBA.
Just think if she would scored 5000 points she would have broke Ohio's all time record by almost 1500 points Why did she go to college instead straight to the pros

The WNBA "requires players to be at least 22, to have completed their college eligibility, to have graduated from a four-year college or to be four years removed from high school. dipbutt
