AAU/GBA Tournaments and results

I know there is GBA tournaments this weekend in Zanesville and Chillicothe. Post result here if you got them. Plus if anyone has the results of the GBA tournament held last weekend at Rio Grande please post them.

GBA - Rio Grande Tournament

Southern Ohio Magic 14/u Champs!

GBA at Rio Grande:

WV Thunder 10u won the 11u age division going 5 - 0.

On Sunday they played a good Ohio Lady Hoopsters team in the semi-final and then beat a very good Team Ohio (Ridout) in the championship game. That Team Ohio team finished second in the state last year in the AAU State Tournament at the 10u age level and this year have picked up a couple more good players. They will be very competitive once again this year at the 11u age division. They are well coached and those girls play hard on Team Ohio.

Congratulations to the WV Thunder 10u and good luck this weekend at Dayton in the AAU Super Regional.

The WV Thunder 9u team finished second in the 10u age division. That was their second straight finish in the 10u age level.

GBA Rio Grande/Oak Hill Tournament

Southern Ohio Magic 10u/Adams place 3rd in their division; 11u/Carson placed runner-up in the 12u division; 11u/Pennington placed 3rd in their division; 12u/Frump placed 3rd in their division; and the 14u/Justice place 1st in their division.

Southern Ohio Magic 11u/Maynard/Miller placed runner-up in their division; 14u placed 1st in their division; and 16u placed runner-up in their division.

Super Regionals in Franklin

Congrats to Southern Ohio Magic 11u/Carson team. The girls placed second in the Super Regionals defeating Lady Diamonds 49-10; Dayton Lady Hoopstars White 49-21; TEAM OHIO-Rideout 47-25; and Dayton Lady Hoopstars Black 43-26.

Congrats! Who got first?

The Ohio Express 9U team placed second in the state qualifier in Cincinnatti this weekend. Great to see the teams from the east catching up with the Daytons and Cincy's!

Big congrats to the Southern Ohio Magic 14u girls for their 4th GBA championship win. They brought home the championship defeating Ohio Express at Denison University, Big Red Classic.
