Huntington st. joe at oakhill. saturday

Post by bryanc45 »

Thoughts on this game should be a good one. It is a double header at oak hill. Girls play at 4pm. then the boys play huntington at 6 or so.

Another tough one for the Lady Oaks. Huntington St. Joe has the best guards that Oak Hill has faced all year.

I've watched both teams play and I believe Oak Hill gets the win. St Joe does have 2 great guards and and are great shooters. If Oak Hill defends the 3 they should get a W fairly easy.

I will take the Lady Oaks by 10 in this one. Oak Hill has a pretty good player in the Butler kid too. Did I read somewhere that she got a full ride to play baskerball at a D II school?

Watched St Joe against Eastern, guards are REALLY good.Eastern got beat by four, didn't box out or Eastern would have won by ten. That day the Demsey girl was hitting fade away threes.Very good guard.

Oak Hill loses by 3. Gave up a 6 point lead in the second half on turnovers. Missed some chances down the stretch. Tough one to lose.

On the other hand these seniors have nothing to be ashamed of for this season or their career. 19-1, 20-0, 20-0, and 17-3 are their records over their four regular seasons. Did not lose a game in the SOC all 4 years and unbelievably this was their first loss at home in either junior high or high school. They should be proud of their accomplishments.

Now on to the real season. It will be a tough road ahead with many formidable opponents in the way, but I look for the Lady Oaks to make some noise. If they lose it will be in a battle.

Was really hopeing Paige would get those free throws but it just didn't happen. That could have won the game but that wasn't what lost the game. No field goals the whole 4th quarter & only scored what 3 total and that was from free throws. Can't do that in a game like this one. MOF you are right this bunch of seniors are a very special group of girls and have a history that no one has ever had & will be hard to match. I thought I heard Buzzy say this was their first loss on the home court since 2008. Now that's something.
Don't put your heads down Lady Oaks lets get ready for the post season !!!
Go Lady Oaks !!!! :aaaaa14 :aaaaa14

yes, January of the 2007-08 season against South Webster and their Cook/Cayton combo was their last home loss.
