Congratulations to the Lady Wildcats and the Waterford community. What an awesome accomplishment! And a shout out to their longest and most loyal supporter on this website over the years, Gregg811. Your Lady Cats finally won it all! Way to represent your community and this slice of the state that we all call home!

For those out there who haven't heard of Waterford yet, Google it, or get a map, then come visit.

Look for the big State Champs sign at the edge of town.

The Waterford Wildcats not only won their first ever state championship for the school, they also etched their names into the OHSAA record book. Saturday's 29-27 win was the lowest scoring game in the history of the girls basketball finals. The 29 points was the fewest ever by a winning team in the championship game. They will join Jenna Burdette, who set the record for most points in a DIV semi-final (38 pts), as TVC-Hocking team/players state record holders in girls basketball.
