Belpre hosts Nelsonville monday night, ur thoughts?

Post by zerotosixtynforty »

Lady Eagles try to rebound after a tough loss to Fort Frye in their home opener. . . Look for coach Haynes to make some adjustments and have the Ladies ready for N'ville on monday. . haven't heard what N'ville looks like this season after graduating a tough senior class from last season. . .should be an interesting matchup. . good luck to both teams. . .

This should be a good, competitive game. NY has the Martinez girl and Cox girl returning, so the shelf isn't completely bare at NY.

Good luck to both teams

Nelsonville usually has a pretty solid core of players on there girls team. Belpre is going to have to play a good game in order to win this one..GO EAGLES, keep your heads up ladies

Belpre 56 NY 52 final in OT.

A lot of nail biting at the end. Belpre made their free throws to win it. Exciting game at the end to watch.

LETS GO LADY EAGLES!!!

Very exciting game, back and forth all the way to OT, alot of fouls, Belpre hit their foul shots in OT to win the game. NY had opportunity to win in regulation with a 1+1 but missed front end. . .Flowers hit some clutch 3's to keep Belpre in it. .foul bug got Leftwich, Fitch, Baker, & Morgan and a few from NY players before it was all said and done. . . Congrats to the Lady Eagles

Player of the game- Allison Flowers with 20 points and 5 boards. The sophomore steppin up for the Lady Eagles. She could do this night in and night out..she can light it up. Also, a good game for Brandi Fitch, she wasn't scoring, but she did everything else. And look at the JV game for Kelsey Lerch, granted Nelsonville's JV team must be very very down this year, but still..20 points, 10 steals, 7 rebounds and 6 assists is a hell of a game.

Must have been a heck of a game. Overtime and all. Heard it was back and forth the whole game. Flowers hit some big shots and 2 free throws late to wrap it up?! How did the frosh from NY look? Forget her name, number 30 I think. Congrats Eagles.

Varsity game had 55 fouls called, however, the refs were fair and made the right calls. NY had their chances...just had to make their foul shots. JV game was different. Yes the JV's are down but we are made up of mostly freshmen and two freshmen play varsity and one is under doctor's orders to not play. K. Maiden did not play this year which was a big blow to the team. As 8th graders last year, they lost a total of four games. They need the freshmen to stay together and get one of their starters healthy and then they will compete, but for now...it looks like it will be a long, long season.

I think Belpre JV is also made up of all freshman, and i think 2 or 3 sophomores
