Heard good things about the way the girls are looking! Behind Sammons, Starlin, and Pierce this team is going to be a force!

Pierce could really be a force inside.

Agree. With Sammons on the perimeter it will be a great inside/outside combo. Be interesting to see what Coach Chadwell does to find a replacement for Lunsford though.

Lady Chiefs had some JV players last year that are capable to contribute some strong minutes . Jr Class pretty good group all around . Next 2 years should be entertaining.

Anyone know how Logan has been doing in their scrimmages?

They tore it up against Warren yesterday.

Was told that they did well at a super scrimmage at Newark as well.

Yea no problem. Specifically Sammons looked good on the offensive side. Seems to be a faster paced team this year. Starlin ran some point for them as they look for the Lunsford replacement. They had two freshmen that looked really good. Pierce’s athletism was unmatched as she got a ton of transition layups. Zimmerman and Dicken from the tough JV squad of last year also looked ready to contribute at the varsity level this season. Frasure was out hurt.

On Warren’s side (though I’m not as familiar), Jackson looked strong. They had a couple of shooters. The big story was how they struggled with the full court pressure from Logan as McCutchen was out. They will need her back when they play strong defensive teams.

Logan also played well at Newark I was told. Read they went 2-1 including a win over a strong Hartley team.

Logan opens Friday at Reynoldsburg against a team from Dayton, Carroll. Saw they made it to regional finals last season before losing to state champion Alter in D2, don’t know how much they bring back though.

If Saturday was any indication of how this season will go, the Lady Chiefs look like they are going to have a strong 2017-18 year.

Lancaster did a great job on Sammons and Starlin. I came away impressed with the freshmen that the Lady Chiefs have. They missed Pierce on the inside tonight. I imagine they looked a lot better against Dayton Carroll yesterday.

That’s a good question. How long were they out for?

Pierce has been out of every game so far. Frasure missed the last one but was hurting the game before.

41-36 loss to Circleville. No Pierce, Frasure, or Sammons. Talk about missing a big chunk of your team! Sounded like the Davis girl played well again along with Avery Thompson (another freshman). That freshman class is loaded.

Anyone know if any of the injured played against Athens Saturday afternoon?

If I was guessing I’d guess yes since they put up 67. I know Athens doesn’t have much but neither did Circleville when they didn’t even break 40.

Well, looks like I guessed wrong. All three starters are still out!
