Thoughts on running clock in tournament?

Post by spartans_fan »

So last night Alexander's tournament game with Westfall went to a running clock situation when the Lady Spartans extended their lead to 35+ points in the second half.

What are your thought on the running clock in the post season?

Personally, for post season I am not totally against it. I don't like the idea at all for regular season as it will stop younger kids from getting varsity level experience, but during the post season it seems to help keep the games on schedule.

Go TVC!

That’s what it’s for, the tournament.

And my understanding, it's at any point during the game it reaches 35 points - not just the second half.
Also, it stays the running clock until it goes back under 30.

It's the 2nd half. kinda of like football . When it's over in 3rd quarter is over. Time to go home. The other team is just way better.

at Lynchburg vs. West Union game tonight and had running clock. West Union team devastated by injuries this year. Running clock was a good thing. Game was out of hand early, just get it done and go home. No need to embarrass a team that has already had a very unlucky year with injuries.
