As AAU and showcase summer ball wraps up I can't help but to wonder what this season will bring for the lady hoopsters of the S.H.A.C.

Would be interested in hearing thoughts and predictions on how the two conference divisions of the S.H.A.C. will end up after teams graduating seniors and rosters being turned over. Will North Adams moving into the big boy division shake up the hierarchy at the top? Can Lynchburg-Clay maintain there excellence after losing the twins? How will Eastern compensate the loss of their leader and reigning player of the year to injury? Is this the year Fairfield gets some help from a talented freshman class to go with Grace Shope that makes them contenders? With the movement of North Adams who is now the power in the small school division? After the very successful tournament run of multiple S.H.A.C. teams last year it seems that athletic directors around the league have put together a very tough non-league schedule against teams from higher divisions that will make them tournament tough or hurt their records and ego's. I am looking forward to a great year to come. Our little conference has done big things over the last few years and is loaded with talent. Someone please toss the ball in the air already!

Eastern will still be a quality team with Day being out because they have other players who can step up, they do all the little things and still have good size. North Adams will be solid as always and they have a very good freshman class coming in. I believe it will be between those two at the top of the big school. Lynchburg lost lots of athleticism by they still have Scott...the Fittro girl will be better this season and they will still be a good team. Scott needs to get 30 a night and she can but she is going to gets lots of double teams.

Fairfield and Fayetteville will battle for the small school, the Thompson girl from Fayetteville will be much improved and Fayetteville plays their game/style very well. Rumor has it that Fairfield is down some key players, hard to tell what the season will hold for them. They do have a talented freshman.
