Monday, January 8th is the marquee game in the OVC so far this season, with PHS hosting Fairland. Hopefully our Lady Trojans will be on their A game because anything less won't get it done vs. the Dragons. Would like to see a large, loud PHS crowd supporting our Trojans.

Your spot on TrojanD, I have seen a few videos of both teams and Portsmouth misses to many open shots, players shooting threes that I feel shouldnt be shooting those, thats me I guess, plays tighter d on the 3 ball. Fairland will drain any open shot 9 out 10 times . After watching these videos this year, I say 15-20 point win for Dragons, only because of inconsistent shooting and need to play tighter D all around court.Portsmouth has the talent and great players but need to sharpen the shooting even more to be in the game come 4th quarter. Is it possible to have 2 final 4 teams from same conference different Divs 2 and 3 . I believe so. I hope Im wrong in final score but right now I believe Dragons shooting and complete team play from all players will be difference. Good Luck to 2 great teams. 1st of 2 great games this year from the top 2 teams in all Southern Ohio.

Next up Mason at the classic in the country, January 14

Lady Trojans lost to Mason on Saturday by a score of 46 to 28 in the classic in the country.

Don't know much about Mason,other then they are the largest school in the state.

The lady trojans picked up a win today against Laurel shaker heights at the classic in the country by a score of
46 to 38 .


This was a good tournament for the trojans to give them some experience playing different teams outside our area and also to play some great competition.

Mason has been to the Final Four 6 times, with 1 state title in 2000, and 4 state runnerups, the last coming in 2022. Mason's girls enrollment is 1,251, compared to 158 for Portsmouth.

Laurel Shaker Heights has a girls enrollment of 142. They made the Final 4 in 2021.
