Coal Grove

Post by lakers12345 »

I heard that they were going to try to get a soccer program.
Has anyone else heard about this?

I would like to see more Lawrence county teams get high school soccer.
I don't think Coach Ward would be a good applicant though, he would need to coach on a all sports turf, if it was grass and hadn't been cut, you may not find him!LOL

For boys? I seriously doubt it. Has it froze over? They MIGHT get one for the girls but not for the boys. They should start with a middle school girls team and work up to a varsity team in a few years if the interest is there. They have some really good girls teams that play in the Ironton league. Sounds good to me.

i actually heard this over the summer, i doubt it although it would be great if coal grove and oak both got teams, i gues they would chalk the turf? or is there somewhere else they could play, i havn't been to the youth fields in a long time but im guessing they are not regulation

The youth field size doesn't make any difference. Sometimes the community has to deal with what they have. The fact that they are playing is the important thing
